I like the 'missing you' cards idea! But maybe not so much the romantic theme... Craig is clearly uncomfortable being viewed in that way whenever it comes up in interviews. Just my two cents. Good point. We don't want to make him feel ackward, this should be a positive experience for him. I would also like to do this during the beginning of March because that is when Tribune announced that it would not be picking up Season 3, and our nightmare began. This will be a "dark" anniversary for the fans, but also for the cast and crew as well. I figure that a project like this will give us something positive to focus on, and then give Craig some positive fan feedback as well.

deacon> I love your idea. I've kinda jumped a head and wrote him about the "official website". He comes over here (well, not really here) and we all get really hot for his cute-self and now we have NO idea what's going on with him. What's wrong with this picture?
I hope ya hear something from his agent soon. Maybe if he was here, think he could've been here for an audition? Living in hope, expectation, come on work with me. It could've happen. I have a great imagination and I can see it now. I can't see him flying over here just for the fun of it, I think it would be work related.
I'm up for the writing at the start of March. I've got the letter already written I can make many copies. For once in my live I'm a head of the game. heeee...

It is most likely work related, my only hope is that we are talking about movie work, and not television work. It would be possible to make a movie, and then be free again for Season 3 of Seeker, but if he signs on to a television series, that could complicate things. Do you remember about a month ago there was an article about Australian actors working in U.S. television shows? In that article, the writer said that: "Craig Horner is still awaiting the fate of his U.S.-produced, New Zealand-filmed series 'Legend of the Seeker' after its second season cancellation. Fans have a campaign going to seek a reprieve."www.couriermail.com.au/ipad/tv-aussies-big-on-us-small-screen/story-fn6ck8la-1225987953012

Deacon, I saw that, but I figured the writer didn't know what he was talking about. I highly, highly doubt Craig or anyone else in the cast is waiting around to see if there might actually be a Season 3, even though it was definitely cancelled almost a year ago. But as far as the website goes, I'd love to see Craig have a website. It doesn't even have to be an official one. Fans don't have to have his permission to make a website for him. Just call it an unofficial website. There are some really good unofficial sites for celebrities out there. I'd love to help, but I'm really busy and know nothing about web design.

deacon> I saw that article also. Craig could do guest appearances on just about any really hot show. I'd love to see him on Vampire Diaries, Fringe, and/or Smallville, any thing, I am not picky.
I know any one can start a website but I'd like to see an "official website" that Craig actually had a hand in it. As we all know people can pretend to be some one they are not. It would be great exposure for him to be on a really popular show. Face it, he's too damn handsome to go unnoticed. That would be very unfair to the world.
I agree with crystal, I don't think any of them are waiting around to see what happens with Seeker. If they get work and it's something they really want to do, they'll take it. And I wouldn't blame any of them for that. Blessed Be.....

And I wouldn't blame any of them for that. Blessed Be..... I agree, we need a website that Craig actually would post on from time to time. Khei suggested a chatbox that he could log onto any time that he wanted and leave a brief message or update for the fans. No pressure, whenever he felt like it. I also agree about our Seeker cast, I want what is best for them, and I realize that they will take on future projects. I consider myself to be a fan of several of them now, and I would watch any TV show or movie that they are in. Auroracat posted a great article in the other main thread, but I will take the liberty of putting it here as well, because it also fits in well with this topic. The fans of Firefly have been working for their series renewal much longer than we have, and now there is great news for them. This should give hope to us as fans of Seeker, and help us to realize that all of our efforts are worth it as well, no matter how long it takes. Thank you again, Auroracat, for the link to the article. insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/17/firefly-returns/

Agreed. keep in mind folks it took us Browncoats 3 or 4 YEARS just to get the film (Serenity)
But we did the impossible which made us mighty!
And I'm willing to bet that Seeker fans are even more mighty than the Browncoats ever were. So far they've been leaps and bounds more mature.
I''m still mentally scarred from some of the things I read on the old Serenity board.. *Shudders*

Khel> This is the ONLY show that I've ever done this for, so I have no idea what the Browncoats are. I did watch Serenity and really loved it but at that time I wouldn't have done this kinda work for them. So I guess I should go check out their old board. Where did ya find it? Would ya post a link here, please?
Do you feel like they've done a better job than us? Maybe I don't understand your message, if they were better or they did some off-the-wall stuff? I kinda feel like doing some off-the-wall stuff right now, only I can't think of what that would be. heeeee...
deacon> What are we doing about asking Craig about his "official website"? And we absolutely have to have some kinda (chatbox), what would be the point otherwise? And now that we are talking about it, why not this site? This could be the "official website" or part of it, its already up and running and its got a fan base already and its one of the best I've seen and why not this one? Why make another one? We've got one of the best already. I mean how many fans sites can there be? I think this one is more than good enough. Just my thoughts.

sybil, Not to speak for Deacon, but I think the focus of this site is different than what a CH fansite would be. Plus, the owners of this site might not want to turn it into a CH fansite as well as a Seeker fansite.
To me, a good fansite for a star needs to have pictures, news about upcoming projects, bio info, info about past projects, and possibly a forum. Though a forum isn't necessary. But the site needs to be as complete as possible and updated frequently. Some of the other CH fansites out there are very incomplete and never updated.
Plus, the site needs to be clear and easy to use with obvious links. Some sites are just really poorly made.
This site, while great as a forum, doesn't really have a place for all of the other things that I think a fansite for an actor should have, imo.

crystal> you do make your point. I just love this site so much, I just kinda thought that they could join together. I do love all the things you think a good fansite should be and/or have. I do get the idea that Craig needs his own place.
I do get really confused with some sites, they aren't that easy to get around on. I don't really know of too many Craig sites, well, only one other.
So now all WE have to do is get Craig's attention. I think enough letters asking for the same think might do it. I'm game.

@ Sybil Browncoats are just Firefly/Serenity fans. Universal originally had a Serenity forum on their website and allowed us to keep it for several years. They did have to scratch the forum though and use the webspace for other films but they were nice enough to warn us and our "leader" Gossi copied the forum and gave it a new home on his own server.. www.serenitymovie.org/browncoats/forums/index.php?act=homeThe things that would scar you are in the "Bunk" team forum As for what I meant.. So far the Seeker fan base are proving to be a much more mature group than Browncoats were. For example. I can't imagine anyone here sending Craig a letter that read "I want to rape you but in a good way." No joke. Someone actually sent that exact message to Nathan Fillion on Myspace.. I would also hope that Craig would never have to worry about a fan groping him.. in public.. (Again no joke. People have blatantly Groped Nathan at Cons in the past.)

Khel>well, now, really? I can only say " only in my fantasy", and then I don't think rape was ever one of the fantasies. Not even in a good way, what ever that means. No way, they actuality groped Nathan...in public, for real. Man, more balls than I. That isn't even nice. Show some respect people, wow.
I would say I think we seem to be a lot more grown up. I would hate to think a fan would do that to Craig, such a lack of respect. I would hope we would show him more honor than that. If ya can't control yourself, stay away. Fans can get silly and sometimes even crazy but really? I think I'd be too in awe to go that far. Or stand there with my mouth hanging open. I'd only embarrass myself not him, thank god.
But thanks, Khel I'll take your word on it and don't have to read any of that stuff myself.

This official website for Craig would need some strict moderators. On too many of the unofficial websites for him, the conversation usually degenerates into "who is he dating now?" or "what is his sexual orientation?" We would need to filter that garbage out. No celebrity should have to put up with that, nor should their many decent fans because of the actions of a few misfits.
It is sad when a few fans get out of control. The cast of "One Tree Hill" used to have a charity basketball game each year, but had to stop it because a handful of fans were getting out of control, and actually harrassing the cast members.
On an official website for a celebrity, that actor or actress should feel nothing but appreciation and support from the fans. Once in awhile Jesse Spencer will do a live chat room on his official site, but a friend of his (one of the moderators) filters the questions so he doesn't have to deal with anything ridiculous.

Well, I'm adding a few new things to my letter to Craig. He needs to know how important it is for him to have an "official website", what it will do for him and his fans. Face it, fans are really easy to please, give us a new photo and we're silly for months, heeeee....
And if he had a trusted friend as a strict moderator and even did a live chat room once a month, that would not take too much of his time. I wonder if he has an official site in Australian? He must have more fans there, so maybe he puts himself out more there, or not.
deacib>have ya ever did a fan site?
