Hello Seekers. I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this idea, but we are coming up on the anniversary of our show. "Legend of the Seeker" made its debut on November 1, 2008. And, as we remember from last year, Season 2 made its debut later in November. We are almost into November now, and that is when a new season would typically begin for us. I was toying with the idea of having us send letters, cards, etc. to Craig, just as a sort of "thinking of you" type thing. We have been writing to the networks, which is of course very important, but how about some fan feedback for the star of the show? We all know how involved he was in bringing Richard to the screen, and how much effort and dedication went into his work. It must be weighing heavily upon him that something he loved doing so much was so suddenly brought to a halt. I thought it might be nice for us fans to simply let him know how much we appreciate his work in the first two seasons, and that we look forward to more! Also, to let him know that we have not given up, and that we are working tirelessly to save the show. Normally he would have had more interaction with the fans during the summer at conventions, but after season 2 all of that was called off by the studio. As I said, November is a "Seeker" kind of month, so perhaps this is a good time for some fan feedback. Any thoughts on this? deacon I really like this idea! Bridget has gotten so much attention, this would be a great way to show Craig some Seeker love. Crystal (or anyone) - do you have a mailing address for fan mail to Craig?

I don't have an address for fan mail. I would try asking the Seeker campaign people because they contacted Craig's rep to get him to sign that poster. Craig has a lot of agents and a publicist and stuff, both here and in Australia. The Seeker people running the auctions on Ebay would know who to contact.

Until he moved to the U.S., it used to be through his Australian agency:
Craig Horner Marquee Management The Gate House - Studio B 188 Oxford Street Paddington, NSW 2021 Australia
There also used to be a fan address at the Auckland Film Studio that was managed by Disney/ABC while "Seeker" was filming there, but that is obviously not an option anymore.

lotslove, I suppose that your marriage proposal would first go through the agent, and then his publicist would announce it.

Hey guys, I heard back from Laura at SoS and she said please do NOT use the agency address on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills for fan letters to Craig.
The agency specifically asked us to not to send fan mail there and now that the campaign has Craig's agency's support we definitely don't want to mess that up.
She suggested perhaps someone set up a PO Box to collect the letters and then we can send them to her to arrange final delivery. Or hold off until we get a better address.

Sounds good. Can we delete my post with the addresses, in case people do not read down this far? Good idea deacon, you can delete/edit your own post as well as one of the mods of this section. (there's 'modify' & 'delete' buttons on the top, right of your post)

Jlyn, Good thing you asked Laura about the letters. I'd hate to sour a good relationship with his agent. Normally, I think you'd send letters directly to the show, but since he's not in a show right now, that's not going to work. A PO Box is a good idea. I'm not sure how else you could do this.

Hey guys -- Laura at SOS heard back from Craig's agency and they are working to set something up -- so let's hold off for now. I'm hoping we can still do this in time to get letters there in November -- maybe near the end of the month around Thanksgiving -- a Thankful for Seeker kind of thing (?)
Deacon, I've edited your post to delete the Beverly Hills address. If you've noted it elsewhere (here or on another form) please be sure to make the edit there as well.
Thanks

Does anyone know if there is an official fan club for him?

Does anyone know if there is an official fan club for him? Haha, yeah... we are it! I nominate you President. ;D Hahaha *ducks the bazillion objects hurled at me by Craig's fan girls* Seriously though, no, there's no real 'official' fan club for him. CSS, SOS and Lots.org seem to know the most of what's going on with him or the show. I would love to run a site dedicated to him but I don't have the coding skills. Bridget's got some very talented fans. BTW - Laura expects to have an address for us within the next 10-14 days.

Thanks jlyn, this is good news about the address for fan mail. Just as an example, this is another celebrity fan site which is for another Australian actor, Jesse Spencer, who currently plays Dr. Chase on "House": jessespenceronline.org/jesse/Some friends of his run it, and they also post his current tweets on there. Once in awhile he will do a live chat room with fans for an hour or two. For the most part, however, he does very little with the site himself, which is how it is with most celebrities. Other people keep it going, and once in awhile he gives updates. I also do not have the know how to do a site like this. And, to do something like this and have it be the "official site" requires the blessing of said celebrity. Craig Horner seems more private than the average celebrity. I'm not saying that as an insult, it just seems to be the case. He is most likely an introvert. For example, it's not hard to find out what Bridget Regan is up to, or Dayna her stunt double. They keep their fans up to date almost on a daily basis. I think for Craig to do a site like this, he would have to really know and trust the people doing it. It's not as hard to do an "unofficial" site, but an official fan site is something else.

In Farscape fandom, some of the actors have official fan sites. I believe they hire someone to run them. But, for instance, the main star, Ben Browder, doesn't have a fan site and I don't think he's interested in one. He's not shy, I don't believe, just doesn't want one. But a few fans have created their own fan sites for him, some better than others. They post news, pictures, convention reports, things like that. All it takes is a fan with the interest and know-how to create a fan site. I've seen a couple for Craig, but they don't seem very active. I'd love for somebody to create a good fan site for him, but it won't be me! I don't have the skill or the time.
