I'm still on board for building such a website if needed. I know of a few places for snagging coding for chat/shoutboxes. The Alberta Furries board has a shoutbox and the mods do keep it moderated. (They also have a habit of temp banning folks who don't adhere to the shoutbox rules too.)
There's lots of features we could include easily enough.

Khei. it seems to me you seem to want to do this, you have the know how and desire, so why not? I know someone years ago that put together an OFFICIAL SITE for a very popular group at the time. She got the site up and running and then some how got it to the group and they came on board.
I think it'd be kinda hard to have nothing to show him first. Sometimes a site will sell itself, so to speak, and your off and running. But I will admit I don't know much about getting started. I'm just thinking you would have to get it to his agent and/or manager or whoever so they could go to him about it. Or see him in person, now how are ya gonna do that one? Cause if that happens I want to know, heeee.
I know it can be done, how, I have no idea. He seems to come to the states often enough but finding out when and how to find him is an all together different thing. And I don't know how to go about that. So.... What do you think?
When Legend of the Seeker was on the air, I would go on Facebook daily and some of the comments were mean. I almost got in to it with some of the book fans that were putting LotS down cause what they'd say just pissed me off so much. Then so many fans started telling them if they couldn't say something nice than stay off this fan site, it kinda stopped for a while but they'd always come back.
deacon> I liked what ya said that a fan site should show, appreciation and support and I'll add love for that person. Nothing cutting nor nasty.

*Ponders* You have a good point Sybil. Having at least something basic to show might be worth trying out. I could start building a couple of "test" sites on zzl.org to try out different layouts/color schemes. I wouldn't bother with graphics at first until the layout is finalized but I can make placeholder graphics.
I'd like to consider such a project as a sort of group effort and to that end would anyone have suggestions for color schemes?

I just have to share this news with you (and it's okay to laugh, go for it) I got a new printer and its photosmart. Lord, I'm in heaven, I'm sitting hear looking at a pic I printed off of Craig, and I didn't even use photo paper.
I haven't had a printer that could print photos, so tell me, do they come out better on real photo paper?. These look really good on normal paper. Do you know the best place to get photos? I've saved a lot of LotS photos, most of Craig. I can't help it, I'm silly right now.
Khei> how those test sites going? I so have your back and can't wait to see what you have.

Thank you to all of you for this... really helps the ole spirit stay positive!! Since momentum seems to be building for this project, perhaps this would be a good time for us to officially begin writing letters to Craig, and ask him to consider having an official website. We sent "thank you" letters and cards to him last November, and birthday cards in January, so it's time to fill up the mail box again.

Craig Horner - Official Website Seeker fans, we have been discussing our growing desire for Craig to have an official website. Now it is time to take our case to him! Let's begin a letter writing campaign in which we ask him to consider having an official website. Remember, when writing to any celebrity, a letter that is short, concise, and to the point is most likely to be noticed. Be polite! There is no need to beg or threaten, simply let Craig know how much he has been missed since Season 2 of Seeker, and that we have heard hardly any news as to where he is, or what he is up to. Perhaps remind him that we occasionally hear from Bridget through Twitter, or on the website: Her Blue Eyes. We can write to Craig at: Craig Horner c/o Marquee The Gate House - Studio B 188 Oxford Street Paddington NSW 2021 AustraliaReminder: U.S. postage to Australia is $0.98. Perhaps print up a page from the Faxo voting for Favorite Actor, and include it in your letter. Let him know that we have been voting for him each month. Have fun with this. If Craig receives enough mail from fans asking him to have an official website, he may seriously consider it.

deacon> I'm so on to this, I'll send out a letter by the weekend. Craig needs to know that he has a big fan base here and that we miss him and have NO way of finding out any thing about what's happening with him.
Enough letters will, at least, get his attention and that's all it takes sometimes. It's sad to think that we can't get any news of him and, ya know, it makes me mad too. His PR people should understand this. There isn't an actor alive that doesn't want nor need attention, even a little. And I'm not saying any of this is his fault and who knows he could be working on something as I type and/or looking.

How many of you sent a letter to Craig this weekend? I sent my out and am hoping he gets enough that he'll think about getting his official site.

How many of you sent a letter to Craig this weekend? I sent my out and am hoping he gets enough that he'll think about getting his official site. I posted this info about the campaign to convince Craig to have an official website on another Legend of the Seeker website as well. However, I am not on Twitter or Face Book. If any of you are on either of these, please feel free to spread this information. Like Sybil said, the more mail that Craig receives from us, the more likely he may be to consider having an official website. Just remember to include the address at his Australian agency, and to remind people about the cost of international postage. Thanks.

From Laura at SOS:
Going forward, you can also write to Craig's agency in the US. If you want an autographed photo from Craig, please keep in mind that ABC Studios no longer supplies official photos, so you'll need to mail one.
Send the photo to the address below, and include a return, self-addressed, stamped envelope. He will sign it and send it back to you.
Craig Horner, C/O WME 9601 Wilshire Blvd 3rd fl. Beverly Hills, CA 90210

I posted it on Facebook, I don't know how many still check into FB but its there for all to see. I don't do Twitter, so some one else will have to do that.
I sent Craig a letter last week so maybe he'll be getting enough to get his attention.
