Craig Horner - what's next? Seeker fans, now that we have celebrated Craig's birthday, what's next? We have previously tossed around the idea of making a list of questions for him, and if you read through some of these threads relating to him, I think that some of the questions are already becoming obvious: Where are you? What have you been up to since the end of Season 2? Will we see you in any upcoming projects? Are there any projects in development that you are able to talk about yet? All of these could easily be answered through one means: an official website. Instead of sending him a list of questions, what do we think about writing to him with a common theme: all of us asking him to consider having an official website? I'm sure that he appreciated his birthday cards, but the next batch of mail may have him wondering, 'what are they writing to me about now?' If he receives a decent amount of mail, and each letter is from a fan asking him to have an official website, that may be enough to convince him. What do we think about this?

I think it'd be great for him to have an (official website) cause his fanbase needs to know what's going on with him. And it's up to us to encourager him into this. He, himself, wouldn't have to do all the work on it, he would appoint a manager to handle it.
He's been here and left, there's no reason for him to stay in LA if he's not working. Hopefully he'll get a home base here, cause face it, he can't be running over here each time they find him an audition, that's one hell of a long trip. I'm sure before we know it he'll be in something.
Spartacus is on Starz, am I right? I don't really care for it, its a comic and not very good. Now I heard that it is one of their highest rated shows. I don't care for it but a lot of others do. But if that is one of their highest rated shows, they should more that welcome Our Seeker.

Perhaps we could even suggest some other actor's website so Craig can see how some other sites look. As for auditions, many are done by video nowadays, and they only call the actor in when they are seriously considering them. That's pretty much how he got the part of Richard. First Rob Tapert liked his audition tape, then he showed it to Sam Raimi, who agreed with him, and then they brought Craig to L.A. to audition with Bridget to make sure that the "chemistry" would be there. The rest is history. He will find work no problem. This is the first pause in a 10 year career. I hope that it is a movie, however, and not another television series, because movies do not take nearly as long to film, and then he would be free again to play Richard. Spartacus is Starz' most successful series, with ratings of about 1.1 million. It is produced by none other than Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, the same team that brought us Seeker, and it is also filmed in New Zealand. I know that Seeker could do better, as it appeals to more people and more age groups. The ratings show that Spartacus attracts a predominantly male audience, but I have long suspected that Seeker actually has more female than male fans. Unless the males are just keeping quiet, I notice that there are more female fans on the various websites that are working to renew our series.

Not to mention, I would p/u Starz in a heartbeat if they p/u Seeker. We just have to keep up the pressure. As for Craig, I think we should all politely ask him about an official website that maybe we could do for him. If we get enough of us working on it, it wouldn't be that time consuming.

Jlyn, perhaps we should change the name of this thread, or start a new one? The Letters to Craig in November was when we were writing to him to say "thank you". Since then we have also celebrated his birthday. Perhaps this thread could be renamed Official website for Criag or Craig Horner Project. That way people will not think that it is something old. Thank you.

CRAIG HORNER New Project Hello Craig Horner fans. To review: in November we sent " thank you" letters and cards to Craig. This past month we celebrated his birthday. Now it is time to begin our next project. We were previously considering the idea of coming up with a list of questions for him, but I think that there seems to be a growing concensus that these could be addressed through an official website. We all seem to agree that Craig needs to have one. Wouldn't you like to ask him: Where are you now? What have you been up to lately? Will we see you in any upcoming movie or television productions? Will you be at any fan conventions this coming Summer? He could answer all of these on his own official website. What makes a celebrity website "official"? The endorsement of said celebrity. So, what to do about it? Everyone please feel free to share your ideas on this, but I believe that we need a two-fold plan of action: 1: We need to write to Craig, and politely ask him to consider having an official website for his growing number of fans. If we select a certain period of time to do this, he will receive our letters in volume, focusing on this specific point. 2: Some of our members have suggested that we offer to do this website for him. We would need to know how many of us feel confident enough to do this? In other words, we need to know how many of us there are that feel they have the talent to design a professional looking website for him? And, keep in mind that if he says "yes", this will be an ongoing committment. We wouldn't want to start off strong, and then lose interest about a year later and the site becomes yet another statistic. Some actors pay people to do their websites, and some are done "gratis" by their fans. I wouldn't be surprised if Craig says "yes" to having an official site, but then has close friends of his own work on it. He seems to like involving his friends, he got several of them parts on Seeker. Whatever he decides, we will need to respect his decision. 1st things first, we should begin planning the 1st step: writing letters to Craig to convince him that he needs to have an official website. How soon do we want to do this? Are we ready to do this?

I've mentioned before that I'm more than willing to help build a website. I have limited coding experience but I learn pretty quickly Only time I wouldn't be able to do any work on it would be during working hours (8am - 5pm Monday - Saturday) but afternoons/evenings (6pm - 12pm Mon - Sat and All day Sunday) I'd have the time to dedicate to keeping a website up and running. (Except once or twice a month we might be away for a weekend at a dog show.)
Within those parameters I could easily update a website. I'm kinda neurotic about everything being as perfect as possible so if there's any bugs that turn up it wouldn't be long before I find it and fix it. I garrantee I'd be able to keep it running as long as There's a server hosting it. That's the ONLY thing I can't do. I can't afford to pay for hosting or registering a web address. I can do most of the technical stuff tho.
Admittedly this is all assuming that his answer would be "yes" and WE were to take responsibility.
My ONE recommendation for it would be to have a chatbox on the website. That way he could visit the site and simply leave a quick lil Twitter-esque message if he so chose without having to register on a site or anything.
I'm fully on the bandwagon on writing and asking ever so nicely..
Knowing me there will be artwork.. oh GOD the artwork..

I learned a long time ago, ya won't get if ya don't ask. So asking is good. He really needs something for his fan base. So let's do this thing and the faster the better. Maybe he just doesn't understand how important it is for an up and coming young actor nor what it means to his fans to get news on what he's up to.
But for now, I like Craig Horner Project for the name of our NEW thread.

Maybe he just doesn't understand how important it is for an up and coming young actor nor what it means to his fans to get news on what he's up to. Where is Craig? And what is he up to?I think that the only hint we have received recently is from Bridget. Remember her post on Twitter from February 1st? "How about...living the LA life (and catching up with my/your favorite Aussies wink wink)?"I think it is safe to assume that Craig was in Los Angeles the beginning of this month, if he is not still there now. Other than this little bit of info, we have nothing else. Again, this is why we want to write to Craig and ask him to have an official website. Bridget's tweets are not going to be enough info at this point. Based on previous posts, Khei is interested in such a website, and is even interested in offering to work on such a website. Sybil is clearly interested in asking Craig to have an official site. I just want to be sure that there is enough interest at this time so that enough of us write to him. If Craig only recieves 7 letters asking him to have an official website, that may not be very convincing. However, if he recieves hundreds or thousands of letters, that would be much more convincing. First, we need to agree on this site if there is enough interest to move forward, and then if we agree we can spread the word to other forums, just like we did for his birthday. So, if we were to set a date to do this, perhaps the beginning of March, how much interest is there in writing letters to Craig, and asking him to have an official website?

I am happy to help, but I have no skills to offer and I work all week. All I have to offer is that I love Craig. Other than that, I am happy to do whatever! I think writing him about an official website at the beginning of March is a great idea. I say let's go for it. What do we have to lose???

I've been saying for quite some time that I'd like to start a Craig website, but I'm not talented enough to to do it myself. There are several mediocre fan sites for him. He doesn't need another one of those. He deserves something really special, like Bridget's SoVeryBlue (Gratch and his team are awesomely talented!).
On B's tweet -- I don't know that Craig was actually in LA recently...perhaps Bridget caught up with him by phone? Or maybe she even means Tab from when she was there meeting with Mike Sussman... not that it matters, just my thinking.
As a side note, I sent some emails to Craig's agent and publicist saying how much the fans miss him and asking if there is any possible way to get an update on what he's up to career wise.
Haven't heard anything as of yet. Will let you know if I do.

Hopefully they can tell us something. You gave me an idea, when we begin writing the letters asking him to have an official website, perhaps these can be sent in "missing you" cards? If this is ackward for the male fans, not to worry. There are plenty of humorous "missing you" cards, in addition to the sentimental ones. Besides, I'm sure that Craig will understand what we mean. Or, perhaps we could design some of our own with scenes of Richard on them? Again, for the women fans, it could be romantic scenes, and for the guys, it could be action scenes. What do we think?

I like the 'missing you' cards idea! But maybe not so much the romantic theme... Craig is clearly uncomfortable being viewed in that way whenever it comes up in interviews. Just my two cents.
