Deacon and I have been discussing the possibility of contacting Oprah about LotS and her network, so stay tuned! Something will probably be posted on the Season 3 thread soon. Yes, the potential with this new development is that Oprah calls the shots, and makes the decisions. And, her new network already reaches 65 million American houselholds. Imagine if even a quarter or an eighth of those households tuned in to see what this "Seeker" program is that Oprah is talking about. There are still many vacant slots in the program line-up. I'm not sure if Oprah is a Sci-fi/fantasy fan, but she does seem to favor stories that feature an underdog facing an uphill battle to make things right. She also likes strong female characters. Seeker has all of these, does it not? And, for that matter, our efforts to get the series renewed, is this not an underdog type of situation? As for the plan to get Oprah to visit Craig in Australia, she does like Australia. And, she likes to interview up-and-coming celebrities, does she not?

@ Deacon
Exactly my thoughts. Everything about Seeker from the characters, plot, cast, the books, and the fans are right up her alley I would think.
Maybe we should appoint someone to write a letter to Oprah about Seeker and everything and maybe we could all pool together for yet another DVD (At least season 1) and send it to her?
Even if Oprah isn't into SciFi/Fantasy I'm pretty sure her best friend, Gayle King, is. If I remember correctly she is.

And, think of how many new authors, or up-and-coming writers, musicians, actors, etc. got a career "boost" because Oprah featured them on her show. She is influential, in a positive way.

*Nods* Very much so.
It's official we MUST do this! We MUST make this happen! Oprah just HAS to so a show on Seeker!
I'm willing to bet that if we can convince Oprah to do a show on Seeker that a 3rd season would be a sure bet!

It's definitely worth a try on our part. A brand new network, but with access to 65 million households already. Oprah is a very busy person, so perhaps think of a couple episodes that you would suggest to her. Remember, she appreciates "underdog" characters and situations, and she admires strong felmale characters.

On a more serious note for a moment, there have been serious news reports coming out of Brisbane due to the recent storms and flooding. Brisbane is being described by reporters as a "war zone", and the loss of housing and even lives has been incredible. This is Craig's home town, and he is most likely there now, or as close as possible, since that is where his family also is. This is one of those times when I wish that he had twitter. Does anyone know if Bridget or Gabriel Mann has said how he is doing? It would be nice to hear any current news about him at all.

Only thing I know is that the "Officialcraigh" on Twitter has said he's in the process of getting verified by Twitter. That's a pretty big claim to make if it is a fake. The same person hasn't been on their myspace or Twitter for a while now which, if it turns out it IS really him, it would make perfect sense for this person to not be posting anywhere.
I sure hope everything's okay over there. Not just for Craig but for everyone else too. I've heard of sharks swimming up and down flooded streets.. I have several friends over there whom I'm worried about as I've heard nothing from or about them since the flooding started.

I have several friends over there whom I'm worried about as I've heard nothing from or about them since the flooding started. It's actually a very safe claim since Twitter's put aside verification of sites while they revamp the process. This was announced last September. I'm a hard-line believer that this is not Craig. Aside from being rather rude in his tweets, he's got two very simple ways to prove it: Answer the tweet his friend and co-star Gabriel Mann sent him asking a question only Craig could answer (Gabriel is awesome in helping us 'police' twitter) -- or post a picture we've never seen before (him and his buds, him and his mom, just him), anything to show he didn't just grab it off the web somewhere. He keeps saying "he's looking" ...Come on. We already know Twitter is not Craig's "thing" so even if he ever did get an account to keep up with the times, I don't expect him to be so blatant saying "Here I am, follow me....I'll follow you" and then asking us how we like the new Twitter.... Would Craig even KNOW the old Twitter? So the more this guy insists he's Craig, the less I believe him. It really annoys me that these people keep doing this and (again, my opinion) tarnishing Craigy's good name. Only Craig should answer for Craig. The others in the past tweeting about politics and such --- they have no idea what Craig's position is (or if he even has one!). Argh.... Sorry for the rant. I needed to get it off my chest. I just hate dedicating a single moment to these fakes. So I guess I'll stop now.

I agree Jlyn and I have also been wondering if Craig and his family are okay with the flooding situation.
Maybe we could tweet Gabe and at least get him to confirm Craig is okay?

I've been wondering about Craig too and hope all is okay for him.
I wouldn't tell anybody what they can or can't do, but Gabriel already gets tons of tweets from Craig fans asking about him -- where is, what is he doing -- is this really him on twitter? ....I'm a little afraid of wearing out our welcome.

I haven't been on Twitter in a while, otherwise I would have realized that already (head/slap). Hopefully he will answer a tweet and we will know, because there's one thing for sure with this fandom, when news comes out about our show or cast - we hear about it!

@ Jlyn Sorry if I've dragging up things that shouldn't. Sadly there are a crap load of people who have nothing better to do than pretend to be someone they aren't (Surprisingly someone or some people have actually tried to impersonate ME.. oh.. 5 or 6 times now.. You'd think they'd imitate someone worth imitating.)
I do keep an open mind considering how the internet is. Both NPH and Nathan Fillion were thought to be fakers on Twitter originally. On that note even a Picture having never been seen before wouldn't prove anything.. Nathan had an imitator on Myspace who was using a photo of Nathan from back in college that they managed to dig up, god knows where, to prove that they were not fake.
Outside of Twitter giving verification, whenever they start doing so again, the only way we'll know the real deal would be if it was announced in an interview or some other way to get it "From the horse's mouth" so to speak.
I'll shut up now..

And you're absolutely right, the photo wouldn't prove anything, but it would make me take more notice (especially since Craig photos are so hard to come by!). Aside from official confirmation, I'm not buying into any of the accounts who claim to be the real deal.

Aside from official confirmation, I'm not buying into any of the accounts who claim to be the real deal. I share in the frustration of having multiple "Craig's" giving messages out there. As for the @officialcraigh, I agree that the real Craig would be able to answer a question from Gabriel Mann, and would not hesitate to do so. And, the real Craig would have no problems providing a photo of himself, simply ask a friend to take one on their cellphone. It doesn't have to be dramatic, it could be him in a coffee shop, anywhere. Also, let's not forget that @officialcraigh didn't seem to remember where Brisbane is. He thought that it was in Tazmania! Do we really think that Craig would forget were his hometown is? Tazmania isn't exactly next door to Brisbane, or Queensland for that matter. What do we know about the real Craig? He is a private, reserved individual that does not go out of his way to get attention. He has always been very polite and enthusiastic during interviews, and he has always been polite with his fans. Actors, actresses, and directors that have worked with him seem to agree that he is great to work with, and they would do so again. He definitely seems to draw the line between personal and professional life, and does not share every detail of his private life with his fans. As Jlyn was saying, this does not seem to be the same person that would exchange rude tweets with fans, or try to get them onboard with political causes. (Or, forget that he is really good friends with Gabriel Mann, or forget that his hometown of Brisbane is in Queensland). This is also costing the real Craig votes on the Faxo Actor page. Earlier today @craig_Horner had 519 votes, and @officialcraigh had 294. If these were combined, Craig could have 813 votes, and he would be 5 places higher in rank. These mini-craigs may think that they are doing him a favor, but they are dividing the vote.

You know what I think.. Here's what I honestly think.. One of the things we should cover in our letters could be to ask him if he'd consider registering a myspace/facebook/twitter if for no other reason than to have a REAL account on one or each of these websites. He doesn't even have to USE them just have an "official" page on each that his fans can post links to in an effort to easily dissuade the fakes. You know what I mean?
For an example. Say he registers a real Twitter account but never uses it and simply make it known that it's the official real deal. Maybe through his agency and/or have it linked under "Official Website" on IMDb. If nothing else it would maybe help on the Faxo site.
I dunno. I mean.. he doesn't HAVE to do anything but I'm just tossing ideas around.
Eh I dunno.. dun mind me.. I'll just be over here *Points to a corner*
