Someone on IMDB got this Twitter from Direct TV: "We do not have any news to share at this time."
This seemed less like a standard customer-service reply than other messages I've seen from them. But it could also mean nothing.

Even if Direct is talking to Disney, negotiations will be a VERY slow process. No report could actually be a positive, if they have approached Disney and Disney shut them out, then it wouldn't be no report, it would be a no go.

If there was nothing going on then there wouldn't be any new not to share. They would say something generic like "Thanks for your interest" or "Direct TV is always looking at new programming." Something non-specific and vague. But this seems different.

Hi....Question: do we need something more in the pubic eye to keep attention on the fans still being together to get a new home and season 3??? Writing letters and emails... but no one knows but the writer and receiver .... seems like we need a place to shout out again... or am I in wrong direction?? ras

Hi....Question: do we need something more in the pubic eye to keep attention on the fans still being together to get a new home and season 3??? Writing letters and emails... but no one knows but the writer and receiver .... seems like we need a place to shout out again... or am I in wrong direction?? ras Yes, you're right, we do need to be vocal about wanting Season 3! Keep posting on FaceBook, sending tweets, leaving comments on SyFy web pages. Also, all of our letters and emails do 'make noise' at least to the industry...they are definitely aware. But by doing the other things mentioned above, that helps get the word out to fans. Also, the Bus Shelter ads, and if we raise enough money, the billboard ads. The DVD campaign is purchasing DVDs to donate to public libraries to make even more people aware of the show. There's been a host of ideas in the Season 3 Planning area for other ways to attract attention. I think Extremis pointed out a few of them like, requesting your local paper run even a small ad (TV critic section maybe), asking Walmart to display Seeker DVDs in their store. Going to Good Morning America or Today show with Save Our Seeker signs...Anything that promotes Seeker raises awareness of the show and awareness of what we're trying to do. Even the faxo polls (which I hate) -- but hey, if ALL of them come back with Seeker/Bridget/Craig as their top picks - this will help raise awareness too. We have a lot of new fans just finding out about LotS and they are joining us here as well as other fansites. It is frustrating, I know - but this could take quite some time. We have to just stay the course and keep doing what we're doing. It may take Terry's new book early next year to wake these people up...but we keep at it until we get what we want.

Keeping the campaign in the public eye and bringing more fans to the show is important, but the most important thing is to keep flooding ABC/Disney and prospective stations with snail mail. The more people sending in every week/day the better.
