Awesome, that info's going in my week two planning folder for sure. And, to all of you who are planning on joining in with the journey book campaign starting tomorrow (which should be all of you!), please take a moment to review the changes visionhale and I have made to the original post here: community.livejournal.com/legendofseeker/600706.htmlWe want to make sure that this campaign does not in any way constitute a DOS attack, which is basically a planned attempt to crash servers with spam. To avoid this, we have gotten rid of the time frame for emails, and are just suggesting you get your message in at some point that day. This should prevent any server overload on their part and also ensure that none of our messages fail to get through due to server overload. In looking into this, visionhale discovered that many spam filters will automatically block messages coming in that are identical. So, if you're using one of our form letters instead of crafting your own, make sure you change the bracketed bits to express who you are as an individual with your own, unique views about the show. Thanks and I hope you'll all be joining in!

Yes, Important news morganwrites - thanks for the update!
And Jace is correct on the CW angle... I also remember reading a media report (was it the TV guide one? I need to try and find it again) where they suggested the CW for this show as well. While Seeker appeals to a very wide demographic - we certainly have TONS of 18 - 34 year old women! ;D

Thanks to everyone who's taking the time to send in their letters today! Just a friendly reminder, please make sure you're sending in your own unique letter. There's now an outline available here: community.livejournal.com/legendofseeker/609262.html to walk you through the steps of writing your own should you find the process a bit overwhelming. If you're using a form letter though, make sure you at least change the bracketed bits to reflect who you are so your letter does not get filtered out as spam. Thanks and happy emailing/letter writing!

YES I sent my E-mails too! here is my letter: Dear TNT, My name is Jolene Danner, I'm a 30 year old woman from Minnesota, with a BS degree from the U of MN. I'm writing to you today in hopes that your station might help save the show Legend of the Seeker. Now you might ask WHY? Why would you want to save this show and air it on your network? Well let me tell you a little about Seeker. It's a show about a young man, The Seeker, who is thrown into a quest with a woman, Kahlan, the Confessor, and a Wizard, who turns out to be his Grandfather, Zedd. He needs to save the world from a dark force of Evil, Darken Rahl. I know what you're thinking: Wizards? Magic? What the heck is a Confessor? Well just stop right there because it's not like Harry Potter (well ok it is a LITTLE, but that really can only help, have you seen how popular that is?) they were written around the same time so neither copied the other. Sword of Truth is its own world of mystery, magical creatures, people with power, action, adventures, LOVE!, and it's a LOT of fun! It's based on the Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind, who, by the way is in full support of this campaign, so there is a lot of story line left for us to experience, plus any additional tales that the writers want to tell. The current show will often veer from the book line to add more interesting additions to the travels of Richard and Kahlan. Now you are a little interested, right? I mean it all sounds pretty cool and it IS! So if you picked up this show how could you improve it? Well advertising it AT ALL would help. The WGN/Tribune company complained about its ratings, but every person that I know who watches this show learned about it by word of mouth. I found it from a friend who found it from a friend. It's like an REO Speedwagon song. And hey we've already got the ball rolling for you. CLICK www.saveourseeker.com/ad.html to see our 2 advertisements that we've placed in Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Fans came together and raised enough for the Variety ad in 72 hours. We had enough for the second ad in less than a week. That's almost 10,000 that we raised, and this is with only the fans who KNOW about the cancelation. We are currently working on a project to get DVD's of the show to Libraries. www.saveourseeker.com/current.html <---- find out more about that. Terry Goodkind has been kind enough to assist us in this. Yes, I know, it's overwhelmingly EPIC, just like the SHOW! Every week I sit in front of the TV for this show, I can't believe the kind of stuff that they do on it. It blows my mind every time. The acting is superb. The scripts are very well written, the scenery is GORGEOUS (I want to be New Zealand now), the special effects/cgi are top notch and it's just so much pretty and awesome and EPIC! This show kills me every week, I laugh, I cry, I cringe, I can't wait for MORE! I think that it would be a wonderful fit for any TV station. We are already working hard to spread the word about the show, since it's been poorly executed by the current station. We will continue to get the word out about Seeker and support anything that might come it's way. If it was aired with consistent time slots and not pre-empted for baseball/basketball with little or no notice the ratings would go up. The fans of the show are very passionate about it and so are the actors. Bridget Regan, who plays leading lady Kahlan Amnell, is active on Twitter (http://twitter.com/BridgetRegan) and she has 11,100 followers and growing every day. When I started following her last November she was under 2,000. You can see how the show is continuing to rise in popularity. With some help it could be a huge asset to any network. For more info about the show or the campaign go here: www.saveourseeker.com or HEY just call ABC/Disney and say we want that SHOW! Thanks for reading my e-mail. Jolene Danner VirKatJol@aol.com

That doesn't even count hits other sites are getting!!! I have sent my e-mails and am getting snail mail ready this evening.
I have been trying to keep those at imdb updated, but am giving up because of the rude people. Never fear though, it is being kept up to date by others!

Woohoo, thanks to everyone who sent out emails and letters today! We've made a few additions to the email schedule for the next few days, due to the fact that the CW Upfronts are on the 20th. We decided not to wait to reach them until after the Upfronts because in so many ways they would be a perfect fit for LotS. Their target audience is 18-34 year old women. I KNOW there are a lot of us out there. So please, when you write to them tomorrow, if you fit in that category, make sure to make a point of that. Talk about Richard and Kahlan and their romance (shouldn't be hard for us right!), and how the show appeals to women in so many ways. It's Gossip Girl in the Midlands. Torn, Revenant, it's hard to get steamier than that, right? Anyway, all of the changes have been made to the original LJ post here: community.livejournal.com/legendofseeker/600706.htmlBut to make things more convenient, the additions are as follows: Tuesday: dostroff@cwtv.com (Dawn Ostroff, President of the CW), and feedback@cwtv.com Wednesday: Peter.Roth@warnerbros.com - President of Warner Brothers (Owns the CW) Thursday: Lmoonves@cbs.com - Les Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation (Also owns the CW) And then CW snail mail added for Thursday: The CW 3300 W. Olive Avenue Burbank, CA 91505

TUESDAY
Okay, so thanks to people bringing up the issue of the CW upfronts happening on the 20th, we've added in a few additional addresses for the next few days.
Tuesday additions: dostroff@cwtv.com - Dawn Ostroff, President of the CW CWfeedback@cwtv.com Wednesday addition: Peter.Roth@warnerbros.com - President of Warner Brothers Thursday addition: Lmoonves@cbs.com - Les Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation
This is because the CW sounds like it would be an ideal fit in many ways (and Warner Bros and CBS own CW, so we wanted to make sure we got to them around the same time). So, when writing to the CW tomorrow, if you happen to be female and between the ages of 18-34, please, make a point of saying that! We are apparently their target audience, and I know there's a fair number of female fans right at that range. So, feel free to gush about Richard and Kahlan and everything girly tomorrow. You know, how LotS is just like Gossip Girl, only in the Midlands lol.
Also, someone pointed out we didn't have a snail mail for Thursday and wanted to do CW that day. I think that's a good idea. I've edited that (and all the new emails) This address:
The CW 3300 W. Olive Avenue Burbank, CA 91505

Just finished sending my e-mails and getting snail mail ready to go out.
When e-mailing I think the following two things are important:
1) Include enough information about yourself (i.e. name and physical address) so that they can tell your e-mail comes from a real live person.
2) Include Legend of the Seeker in your subject line on the e-mail. We want them to easily be able to tell how many e-mails they are getting.
