Working harder is great. Don't take what he says about it being a waste of time and having better things to do with your time to heart. This is actually a very unDisney type reply and if they knew about it, TPTB would be very upset. A Disney reply would be more along the lines of "we appreciate your interest in the show, thank you for watching, etc.etc and then maybe a word about how he is not is a position associated with the show. Disney is not in the business of irritating people for no reason. I was really mad but it Just makes me want to work harder. Who or what is TPTB?

TPTB - The Powers That Be - in this case I was referring to the Disney execs.
Having worked for the company for 10 years, I can tell you that his response woudl definitely not be considered "Disney" appropriate.
Working hard myself. I am actually encouraged by recent developments and think now is the time to really put a push on.

I said that he could say that but we would still work and thank you. This is what he wrote back....
"Well sending emails to me doesn't help the cause - please spread the word...your emails are totally wasted on me - its like running on a treadmill hoping you are actually going to reach a further destination...just wanted to let you know...I applaud your passion and efforts - but its like sending emails to a doctor when something is wrong with your car - wrong person for the solution..."
So maybe no more mail to Hayes. Lots of other people though!!!!

Yes, take him off the list. That response is a bit more along "company" lines, though.
I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here - but remember paper letter, via snail mail still carry the most weight!

I know. I liked the second reply more than the first. The first just makes you mad. The second one, not so much.

Wow, direct tv wrote this back:
I understand your interest in "Legend of the Seeker". Our goal is to provide a wide variety of channels and programming content and we can't predict or control the programming selection a particular channel chooses to air. While we continually work with our programming partners to improve your television entertainment experience, it helps us all if you also forward your feedback to the ABC. We understand that not everyone will like every program aired on DIRECTV, and we take customer feedback very seriously.
Well now we know we need to speak with disney but with that one guys rude letter back to one of us, I am now all the more fired up about it!

With regards to emailing DirecTV, DirectTV has tweeted this today:
"Legend of the Seeker fans: The best way to get your comments about the show to us is to send an email to: the101@directv.com "
So these are the email addresses that we should be concentrating on for promoting 'Legend of the Seeker' and requesting that they please consider it
eafilipiak@directv.com and ellen.filipiak@directv.com - Ellen Filipiak, Senior Vice President of Customer Relation
mike.white@directv.com -President and CEO of DirecTV
cjlong@directv.com -Chris Long - SVP Entertainment:
the101@directv.com
Also, when contacting DirecTV, if you don't already have DirecTV, you might mention that you'd be interested in getting it if they pick up LOTS
