Word is actually BrownCOATS but close enough XP
As a Browncoat I can say that yes. If we yell and scream enough SOMEONE will hear and possibly listen. We did and Universal listened. Evidently there wasn't enough browncoats in the world to make Serenity pull in the cash Universal hoped for.. or even enough to warrant future films but we DID get one film.. and a series of Comics.. and an RPG campaign series. And Tshirts.. Dear god the Tshirts!
We did the impossible. That makes us mighty. And the SoS campaign can do the same.

So...is anyone in the mood for some "good" news? ;D Do you remember the series "Jericho"? It was cancelled by CBS 4 years ago. Anyhow, Netflix is currently in talks with CBS to revive that series. Repeats of "Jericho" have consistantly done well on Netflix' streaming service, and they want to continue with a new season of that series! And this is 4 years after it was cancelled! "Jericho" has devoted fans, and they have kept its "ratings" high on Netflix, and now Netflix is in negotiations with CBS to bring it back. Well, "Legend of the Seeker" also has devoted fans!!! www.tvguide.com/News/Exclusive-Netflix-Jericho-1046804.aspxI realize that many of us have lost our zeal for streaming episodes of "LoTS" on Netflix and Hulu, but hopefully this will remind us as to why it is so important to continue doing so. Haven't been streaming lately? Well, time to start doing so again!

If Netflix is looking at Jericho maybe Hulu would counter by picking up Seeker!! *crosses fingers*

My heart just fell to my shoes. I so hope that JD gets picked up, the CW has a lot of new series. Why wouldn't they mention it?
I tweeted already the @cw. I wonder how an actor feels when they do a pilot and it doesn't get picked up. You really have to have an healthy ego to be in Hollywood.

So you need to be a White Mage, Red Mage, or Blue Mage to survive in Hollywood. *Grins* Sry Gamer humor XP

I wouldn't worry too much over that article, Sybil. That sounded like just a partial list of their shows. I don't care if JD isn't a "front runner" as long as it gets picked up.

Yes, it is not the final say on this matter. Keep encouraging The CW on this one. Let's be honest, it is a "risk" picking this one up, at a time when many networks are trying to play it safe. So, keep encouraging The CW to be bold. We need something different from all of the safe "formula" shows that are currently out there. That is what made "LoTS" so unique and special. Let them know that you really want to see "Joey Dakota" and Craig Horner. ;D

Speaking of The CW, guess who the Hollywood Reporter happened to interview today? None other than Mr. Mark Pedowitz! And, guess what Mr. Pedowitz was talking about? Netflix and Hulu. Does anyone still have any doubts about the value of streaming episodes of "LoTS" on Netflix and Hulu? www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/cw-mark-pedowitz-la-complex-netflix-vampire-diaries-318772Mr. Pedowitz also talks about "pushing the boundaries of network television." I can think of two series that would do that for him: "Joey Dakota" and "Legend of the Seeker". Everyone keep in touch with Mr. Pedowitz.

Gosh, I can't help but think of Seeker reading this:
The Hollywood Reporter: If you could rewind a year, what's the one thing that you'd tell yourself about this job?
Mark Pedowitz: I would have spent the first six months not looking at ratings. I would have saved myself a lot of aggravation. I had an epiphany in December, when I started looking at the social-media grids like Get Glue, where our shows constantly are in the top 10. Or look at live-plus seven numbers, which we don't get paid for, and we're tripling our women 18-to-34 ratings. You start to realize that these shows are working, but the key -- and part of our development slate this year is going to be an attempt to do this -- is to find a way to get them to come back to view the shows live.
And this here: "Write it the way you would if you were going to take it to HBO, and we'll deal with the language issues and everything else to make it work for our air."
SO TRUE!!! Finally someone who knows what the heck is going on!!

Haven't been streaming lately? Well, time to start doing so again! Because of this new article, I'd definitely encourage Seekers with NETFLIX.com to please continue to watch LOTS on there as often as possible!!! ;D
And Seekers with NETFLIX.CA, please request that they add the LOTS Seasons to their catalogue. ( Those on twitter, can tweet Netflix Canada: twitter.com/Netflix_CA and message them on Facebook here: www.facebook.com/netflixcanada )
>IGN article about this, May1st/2012:
"Could 'Jericho' once more rise from the ashes? The CBS series, about the residents of a town surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, could potentially return with new episodes, says TV Guide Magazine.
New episodes of 'Jericho' would not air on CBS, but be available via Netflix, who TV Guide Magazine reveals are the ones who initiated conversations with CBS TV Studios about reviving the series. Netflix have plans to bring back 'Arrested Development' and were recently in talks (which fell through) to save 'Terra Nova', along with conversations with Disney about potentially continuing 'The River' – the status of which is currently unknown.
(If Netflix was interested in 'Terra Nova' - which I believe was filmed in Australia and had a pretty big budget, plus Netflix are also able to have conversations with Disney, sounds like LOTS would be the perfect fit for everyone )
This all comes about as Netflix moves aggressively into original programming, including the new episodes of 'Arrested' and the upcoming David Fincher-produced 'House of Cards'.
TV Guide Magazine says 'Jericho' is of interest to Netflix because of the continued popularity of the show's 29 episodes among their subscribers." tv.ign.com/articles/122/1224090p1.html *
(P.S. At Wondercon last year, 2011, our LOTS Table was neXt to the Jericho table and it was great fun! The Jericho fans were so nice, that when we were unable to get a LOTS Table at ComicCon 2011, they kindly offered us some space on their table to promote SaveOurSeeker. )

Starz Orders Eight-Episode Pirate Drama From Michael Bay. " Black Sails", created by "Jericho's" Jon Steinberg, will be a prequel to the classic "Treasure Island" story and air in 2014. "Like Spartacus and Magic City, Starz will retain all domestic and international rights to the series, including for TV, home video and digital. Black Sails will begin production later this year at Cape Town Studios in South Africa. It also stands as the latest in Starz's love affair with the sword-and-sandals genre, joining the channel's Spartacus franchise."www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/starz-michael-bay-pirate-drama-black-sails-series-319594I'm still not ready to give up on STARZ, either. Perhaps "LoTS" as a series was too intimidating for them, but lately they seem to like doing these 8 episode mini-series. I would be very happy if "LoTS" were to continue in this format as well.

Would it do any good to write this Nellie person and ask why she isn't mentioning JD. It's really the same statement that they put out earlier. You can send Nellie a note using the link above. Come on everyone and let her know how ya feel. I just can't go another year without seeing Craig on tv. I am not to blame for any of my actions if it doesn't get picked up, hear me?!!!!! I haven't even heard of half of these shows; Carrie Diaries, Beauty & The Beast , First Cut, Cult and The Selection. We need another Beauty & The Beast, really? We are Seeker Fans and we don't give up. &^#$%#@, hear me? ;D I love mini-series and I think Our Seeker would make an WOW mini-series.

Come on everyone and let her know how ya feel. We could ask Nellie, but be sure not to take your frustrations out on her. Remember, she is a reporter, she does not work for the networks, and has no influence with them. She is simply reporting what she has been observing. One thing that I have noticed about her post on The CW, she mentions that they have 8 possible pick-ups, even though she only lists 5 of them by name. And, she mentioned that not all of these will be picked up for the Fall, but may be staggered through the year. For example: a holiday opening, a Spring opening, etc. We won't give up! However, it is The CW and Mark Pedowitz that really need to be hearing from us.
