Just wanted to let you all know that yesterday & today I've been in contact with 'a source close to the show', (who wishes to remain anonymous), and they wanted to pass along that: "There's no Official news yet and that we are all waiting to hear."
They also wanted to: "Thank everyone SO much for all of your support of the show... I can't tell you how much your support and love of the show means to everyone who works on it."
And to: "Let people know that there's still hope, and that their online support does help!!" 
So Please Please Stay the Course and Continue Our Efforts to Help get a Season 3 Seekers

I think the fact that the producers are actually contact/considering specific actors for guest rolls in season 3 is a VERY positive sign.

Kyle Chandler is in talks to head a new show called Terra Nova not Legend of The Seeker which I already knew about. Looks like the people in the comments were suggesting he do this show instead.
