So I've been sitting on this for a couple of weeks now, I can't tell if it's a resized image, or an up-converted HD still:

It's resized. You can tell by her eyes I guess the source is 1280 x 780 px and it's captured from full screen /Full HD/

Take a look at this shot: This one is the original shot 1280x720 And this one i resized to ~1920x720 If you look closer to the second version you'll see that her eyes are less sharp than the original also if you compare the background of my resized version with Gratch's shot you'll see that they both have this smudged texture and this is from the Bicubic resized method .

Interesting. Maybe my monitor isn't sharp enough to make it noticeable, or more likely my eyes just aren't trained to see such details. I'm going to get a new laptop once my faithful laptop decides to call it quits. It's day to day right now. I would never have discerned the difference had you not pointed it out to me. Thanks!

It's got that blurry - I've been upsided look to it. Pics look like that if you supersize them by just changing the size instead of changing the actual pixel ratio.

Exactly! What i mean is if you have a full hd screen and you play the video on full screen and capture a frame / I use KMplayer and it has an to options 1. Capture original size and 2. capture what you see/ as what you see you'll get an image with the same resolution as your screen. So i think this is the case.

Ah - thanks! mipps, I didn't notice those bicubic smudges at all - but then I've never really upsized anything, it's always downsizing Thanks for that tip! Also, I love KMPlayer and I'm jealous that you've got a FullHD screen somewhere. Erika - I couldn't tell because her hair on the front of the dress looked sharp enough - the eyes and skin are blurry but the rings/design on the corset were appreciably sharp enough.
