24-Hour Tweetathon

Please mark your calendars!

We'll be twitting the hashtag: #LegendoftheSeeker again on Twitter, Tuesday, November 1st to celebrate Legend of the Seeker premiere date/birthday.

This is a 24-hour Tweetathon around the world. In other words, the Tweetathon starts at 12:01am midnight in your country and ends at 11:59pm in your country wherever you are. It will start with the first timezone (Sydney) and end in Hawaii.


UPDATE: TRENDING is set for 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm ET. That means we want EVERYONE tweeting during that time. Trending works best with a focused, pinpoint of time. So, while the event/contests run all day -- make sure you're tweeting (or set up Twaitter to tweet for you) during that time. The new algorithms make it harder to trend in Twitter, but at least by narrowing it down to 2 hours we stand a chance.


SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE and update any posts on Facebook, LJ, etc. where you may have posted.


--Please remember: you can schedule your tweets days in advance with Twaitter.com.

Here are some guidelines for the Tweetathon:

--Please tweet the hashtag: #LegendoftheSeeker to tell non-fans why and where they should watch it.

--Requesting reruns of Season 1 & Season 2 can be suggested too.
--Also politely tell the networks below why they should pick up the show for a 3rd season or mini-series. The networks are:

Re-tweeting other fans' tweets can make it easy to join in the fun too besides helping us trend #LegendoftheSeeker faster.

To re-tweet another Seeker's tweet with the #LegendOfTheSeeker hashtag, you can either search twitter for the hashtag, or click here: twitter.com/#!/search/%23LegendOfTheSeeker, and then just re-tweet the tweets with the #LegendOfTheSeeker hashtag that you like.

--Please try to retweet the "original" tweet with the hashtag, so that the hashtag doesn't get cut off.
--Please use only one hashtag per tweet.
--You're welcome to re-tweet posts from @saveourseeker


3 people that participate in the Tweetathon will win a bookplate autographed by Terry Goodkind. Winners will be chosen at random.

Don't let this get us down. At least he was nice enough to answer. And, he didn't say anything about reruns.

Please just leave SyFy off your tweets. They don't want to hear from us...they've made it quite clear several times.

Direct your efforts to networks who have not been so negative to us in the past.

On a brighter note... we came VERY close. It's not over yet, but the main trend time was 12:00 - 2:00. We made it as high as #19 WORLDWIDE. Not bad. But you need to be 10 or higher to be on that main Twitter page.
