Hello, this is my first time on a forum so bare with me, but I had to share my idea. To save the seeker we need to raise awareness to local scifi and fantasy conventions. I urge all those attending any convention anywhere to help our cause and spread the word, even try to get donations if u can. As i live in the baltimore area I also encourage anyone in maryland attending the Balticon this weekend to do what they can. whatever it takes. there is power in numbers and we can get this show back for a third season. write on this thread about anything you've done to help raise awareness. let's all come together and help SAVE OUR SEEKER!!! the link for Balticon follows www.balticon.org/ and any other conventions en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_science_fiction_conventions

Maybe you could print up flyers using the graphics from one of the ads and have them to hand out.
I may be at Balticon on Sunday evening, as it is also the Markland 40 year reunion. Not sure exactly what our plans are though.

I will only get there on Sunday if at all, but I may be able to get some friends who will be there the whole weekend to spread the word.

I know that we are going to see if we can go halfsies on the Comic Con booth with the SaveTheSCC peeps. We tried to get our own booth but they are sold out. but going to local conventions and even standing outside and handing out copies of the Ad would be helpful!

**Giveaway for Comic Con in San Diego** --Posted by Laura (SOT_Fan) of the 'SaveOurSeeker' team
"Hey Seekers!
We have an opportunity to give away a promotional item at the "freebie table", at Comic-Con, San Diego, CA, July 22-25. At the freebie table, people can distribute flyers or small gadgets, and we're working with the conference organizers to offer a "Legend of the Seeker" giveaway as a present from our generous fandom.
Since "Legend of the Seeker" could really use a marketing boost, we thought that we could offer iTunes downloads to people that have never heard about the show. Via iTunes, we'll gift the two premier series episodes in standard definition, "Prophecy & Destiny". iTunes sells them as a single episode.
We've created a 5x7 inch postcard with instructions to request the episodes. Please note the image of the postcard is only a draft to give you an idea of the concept. A graphic artist is working with us to pretty up the draft card.
NOTE: we're able to use an official picture in this case since it's the exact picture iTunes provides when we buy episode downloads.
Once we receive a request, we'll buy the episodes on iTunes and email the iTunes Redeem Code with the instructions to download "Prophecy & Destiny." We'll gift up to 500 episodes (while supplies last).
If this giveaway is popular, we can definitely repeat it at future conventions in the US, and in countries where iTunes is available.
If you're attending Comic-Con and would like to help distribute this postcard, please send us an email: contact@saveourseeker.com We'd be happy to send you a supply. We're told the long lines are ideal to distribute this kind of stuff. Thank you.
Saveourseeker.com team.

Hey quill - I've posed that question to the SoS girls. They are looking into it and will us know.

Update from Laura of SaveOurSeeker:
Pics of Our Posters at Comic-Con...
"I know I said in a previous post that our poster advertising agency was going to provide pictures of the posters being distributed at Comic-Con.
Unfortunately, their campaign lead in San Diego had technical problems with her camera, so we won't see any pictures. Big bummer. I know this agency from a previous marketing job and can assure you that the work did get done. We just don't have pictures from them.
The agency knows we are a fan group and had to work very hard to raise the money to pay for the tear away poster campaign.
Plus, this is the first time anything like this has happened to them and they really want to make it up to us.
Get ready for the best part
The agency offered to charge only half of what we initially agreed ($2,300 for both Comic-Con and DragonCon, instead of $4,600) - AND they will also do a poster campaign for us at NY Comic-Con at no charge!!
This is extremely generous from their part. I had to read their email multiple times to believe what I was reading
And now the math: we've already raised ~$1,200 for the THR advertisement, so if you add $2,300 we're getting back from the poster campaign, it means we have $3,500 ---> only $100 short from being able to buy the ad for THR.
I'd say this is a happy ending for a few pictures missing. "
