Angry Tweets @ Syfy is definitely not gonna help...but they pretty much gave their answer-the ratings weren't good enough for the price Disney is probably asking. So I'd say continue to write SyFy and direct firepower at ABC/Disney about how much we love LOTS and want it to stay, but do so politely. We want them empathize with our sense of loss. I agree ET, with Bridget's tweet confirming the cancellation, we don't have much time. Sounds to me like Disney is asking too much...if we focus on them, perhaps they'll come down in price to give it one more year to pick-up the ratings they want. |

ABC Television Braves Irate Fans over Fantasy Show April 27th, 2010 Bridget Regan and Craig Horner star in 'Legend of the Seeker'.What does it take to kill a television show? A cold heart? An empty soul? A sinister predilection for evil? Or perhaps just a recognition that at the end of the day the numbers don’t add up? Television executives are people, too, but they are often lampooned for being cold, heartless, and machinistic. ABC Domestic Television executives are about to learn what it feels like to take the heat over a decision that was, almost without a doubt, based solely on numbers and economics. According to rumors on the Internet (and at least one Tweet by one of the show’s stars), the syndicated fantasy adventure show Legend of the Seeker will not be renewed for a third season. Based on scifi writer Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth novels, Legend of the Seeker has been filmed in New Zealand by Ghost House Pictures, formerly known as Renaissance Pictures — the brain child of director/producer team Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert. Raimi and Tapert first rose to prominence with the Army of Darkness films starring their college buddy Bruce Campbell, but they took the world by storm in the 1990s with the syndicated television shows Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. More successful than many “network” television shows, Hercules and Xena proved that quality entertainment could be made on a budget (in New Zealand) and run for six years (in up to 100 world-wide markets). The shows produced millions of dollars in revenue for their stars, producers, distributors, and others. But replicating that success has been difficult. Many shows have come and gone. Legend of the Seeker appears to be the latest in a long line of HercXena wannabes. However, despite low viewing numbers (blamed on poor scheduling and lack of support from the Tribune Station Group), fans of the show are organizing a campaign to Save the Seeker that includes a petition which collected thousands of signatures on the first day. News (or rumors) of the show’s impending demise came amid an announcement that Slam Internet, Inc. had just launched a new Legend of the Seeker promotion campaign. Confusion ensued amid the mixed reports of the show’s renewal/cancellation. A final Tweet by star Bridget Regan seems to settle the matter, but hardcore fans are determined to keep fighting. They are amassing legions of fans to write letters and emails to ABC executives at every branch, and the prospect of organizing boycotts of ABC sponsors has been raised. Whatever comes next, it won’t be easy to play the role of a “suit” at ABC for at least a few days. source |

That's right we're irrate!! They never really promoted it, kept shifting the time it was aired, and never considered the amount of viewing on the internet!! KEEP FIGHTING!!! They brought back Scrubs after being cancelled, they saved Chuck from cancellation. Let's fight to save LOTS!!! Ok, I'm going to go cry again...  |

I can't cry I"m at work, but I saw this news and the Xenite campaign on my other board, and I came here to makes sure it was on here. I signed the petition and donated $20 to hlpe, I have posted it on my Yahoo "Seeker' group with a link to the vid. When I get home I will Tweet about it, if you want to read what the person WHO built the link, here is his post on my other board. Has Richard ever taken no for an answer? Does Kahlan give up so easily on her quest? Would Cara leave at the chance for a fight? NO! We still have options, and we need to fight harder than ever now! Don't give up! *hugs* to everyone and what they have done so far. Lets continue to show love and support for our show, in the nicest way. Let's send e-mails to lifetime to pick it up, to abc family, to disney thanking them for everything. Lets start showing the love even more, getting the word out there by any means. Like I said, we need to keep our words classy. Imagine Bridget were reading out e-mails and letters, she wouldn't want to hear mean things said, so lets not say them! Thank you all gor being amazing!
