Oh no I didn't even notice that! I hope not.
The ratings for Desecrated were kind of low.. but I'm still keeping my hopes up. I've bought a few eps. on iTunes for some people of it to boost the episode. I just wish they would give Seeker more promotion and marketing, because I know people would love it.

And I agree!! It kind of iritates me that the show is in trouble but we are getting no promotion! I mean seriously through the entire seeason I havn't seen one promo for LotS.

Promotion, or lack thereof, is why we're in this mess to begin with. -_- ABC, Tribune, whoever... No one is promoting Seeker. EXCEPT... During the episodes. I mean, come on... We're already watching by then. XP

I'm sure it doesn't help the ratings that some of stations are changing their regular airtime without much notice, or pre-empting the show. (at least one station aired Supernatural instead of Legend of the Seeker for some unapparent reason??)

Just read a little blurb from Zach Levi of 'Chuck' that says unless you're watching your TIVO/PVR recording of your show AS IT AIRS, Nielsen doesn't count it!!
And that you Really need to be letting the advertisers know that you are watching.

Not exactly no news, and has been stated many times, decision time is not until May.

With the new book deal for Goodkind and the series being sold to so many countries in Europe, etc. I'm not too worried.

Save Our Seeker

You may have seen here that Desecrated’s ratings were very low, even lower than some of the reruns. However, past this disturbing news is something in the comments… I have no idea if this is true (anyone heard this before?) but at this point, any lead we have that may lead to SEASON 3 is worth hounding.

PLEASE: The Legend of the Seeker fans need to write, email, pester, propagandize, confess, and agiel FOX. That, and continue with the SyFy campaign. SEASON 3 NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

Here’s the comments I’m talking about:

* Empire 13 hours ago: Not great numbers again for LOTS, hopefully now that they will run the show till the end of the season with no repeats that the numbers can grow. Hopefully back to over 2.5 million viewers, not sure about the 18-49 share since I’ve only seen it once for LOTS, but a 1.7 households would probably also help. Great show that has a pretty loyal fan base, and with FOX in the running to pick up the series, maybe not all is bad.

* Empire 3 hours ago in reply to marlusrahl: Even though I am in Canada I wrote an email to a Fox Affiliate, and the reply more or less stated that they heard from ABC that it is planned to continue, and that Fox Buffalo was interested as well as some other affiliates. ScyFy doesn’t seem overly interested, so as far as I’ve read, and found out by my own means, FOX seems to be the only network that has at least said they are interested. Not to say it will happen, it’s still about dollars and cents, but interest is at least something.

Alrighty so...Mike Sussman's Twitter account is a personal one, and seeing as they're done filming the season, I wouldn't read too much into his changing his Twitter dressings.

I wish they'd do away with the Nielsen boxes So many watch online now, they're a poor reflection of fanbase especially for a syndicated show.

I am kinda surprised Desecrated was low, would have expected that for Vengeance, BUT...the show was coming off a 2 week hiatus which typically means lower ratings already. With warmer weather across the country thus baseball broadcasts, and stations jockeying air times & little advertising, I don't think the ratings would have been so low had their not been hiatus.

In terms of FOX, I can't be sure about that b/c some of the Tribune affiliates are already FOX stations, feedback from affliates is kind of a poor indicator b/c we've gotten good and bad. But if they're interested great! Doesn't make sense to me SyFy isn't anymore with the messages and Tweets we got from Mike S and LOTS_Sponsor. SyFy is the one station that has been advertising LOTS.

So don't lose hope, but by all means keep writing and campaigning however you can!
