So maybe we can start writing to TNT. I know it's only been a year but we don't know any more now, than we did a year ago. And a lot of fans have gone to the way side.
Have ya sent a dvd to TNT? I read at one time you were sending dvd's to networks. I was wondering if ya sent one to TNT. I'm at a lost, what else can we do? Will ya give us a addy for TNT?
ABC took the comment page off and LotS had more comments than any of them.
Jlyn> I won't do questions, I just won't. Now if you'd ask for me to send a letter, that I would do. But to sit and answer questions, no way, sorry.

Sure, TNT is worth writing...but our focus right now is Netflix and CW...not sure if you've seen the latest on all that but it's up higher in this thread.
LotS video team were the one's sending out the videos (and Seeker Wall sent in photo albums with all the fan photos). I'm not sure which studios they sent to but it was to several of the most promising ones (as well as Sam Raimi & Rob Tapert's Renaissance pictures).

jlyn> Thanks for letting me know to write to CW. I knew about Netfix, that's dates to watch the Seeker, right? I'll write CW this week.
That's great to get the signed dvd's.
I don't understand why they're passing Our Seeker up and picking other shows. I never watched Southland nor Perceptions, so I can't really say any thing about the shows. But it hurts that they got picked up and Our Seeker is left behind once again.

People, whatever we do, do not give up on writing letters and postcards to the networks! I realize that we have been doing this for almost a year now, and many people are getting tired of sending letters, but now is not the time to give up! May is the month when the mainstream networks will make up their minds about their Fall line-up of shows. So, we need to be letter writing fools during the month of April. If our enthusiasm has cooled, now is the time to rekindle it. We still have several promising options: Netflix announcing that they are getting into the promotion and distribution of series, this is great news for us. Seeker has done well on Netflix rentals. Also, the new President for The CW. He is the one that got Seeker into production when he worked at ABC. Showtime is looking to expand its line-up of series, as is DirecTV. Also, Legendary Pictures is forming Legendary Television to produce some television shows. It's time for us to step it up with our letter writing this next month. When all is said and done, Seeker has only been away for one season. It could easily be restarted this summer with a new network, and back on the air next Fall. Would Richard give up? No way!

Now get out there and write those letters, people!!

And what is the name of the new president of CW? I have the address but not his name. I know there's a place to find all the addy's but I forget where it is, help, please. I'm writing for sure.
No one can do this but us and that's one for sure. The CW, Netflix, Showtime, & DirecTV, sending letters out this weekend. It's only been a year so let's fight for Our Seeker.

I didn't know that Netflix was getting into promotion and distribution of series. Does that mean that they do this for other networks? I just don't understand what that means. And what is the name of the new president of CW? Hello Sybil. Netflix has become large enough now that they can compete with other cable networks such as HBO, Showtime, Starz, DirecTV, etc. And, the only way that they can do that is to make and show original programming. They have already picked up one series, which will actually be more expensive to produce per episode than Seeker would be. They will need more than one series, as the other cable networks also offer multiple shows. Seeker has done well on Netflix, and Netflix is expanding into Europe soon, which is great news for us, because Seeker continues to be more and more popular in Europe, and is still being broadcast there, for that matter. The new President of The CW will be Mark Pedowitz, although the offer has not been finalized yet. They are expecting it to be announced any time now. He is the one that got Seeker into production at ABC, so we are hoping that he will jump at the chance to produce it again, but this time through his new network. Wouldn't it be great if the first bundle of mail that he gets at his new assignment is all asking him to pick up Season 3 of Seeker?!

Hi deacon, it would be great for him to hear from all of us asking for a season 3 of Seeker. So do we have to wait for him to be announced before writing? I think it'll bring a smile to his face.
Where is the page you have all your addresses on? I can't seem to find it .
Did I read at one time that every episode of LotS was over 2 million viewers? It seems that lots of networks have series that don't even hit the 2 million mark. Damn, what's up with this?

Hello Sybil. If our mail gets to The CW before their new president does, I'm not sure if they will hold it for him, or upon opening it and seeing that it is about Seeker, trash it since they didn't pick up under the previous president? Once he is there officially, then the mail will make it to him. It is ironic that he would be picking up the series that he got started at his previous network. I think this could work in his favor. They liked him at ABC. You are right about the viewers. When Seeker first began it was averaging between 3 and 4 million viewers, then later on it settled at around 2.5 million. During Season 2, we hit a low point when some episodes where only averaging about 2 million. These numbers may not please a major network like Fox or CBS, but for The CW they would be pretty good. Some of their shows are averaging around 2 to 2.5 million, and these are shows that consistantly play in the same time slot each week, and are well advertised. We know how bad that situation was for Seeker! For some of the cable channels, Seeker should be a no brainer. The best that Spartacus did on Starz was 1.4 million, then it settled in at between 1 to 1.2 million per episode. Again, this is a show that was always in the same time slot, and Starz promoted it very well. With a good, consistant time slot and good advertising, Seeker could do very well. Hercules and Xena used to average between 6 to 8 million viewers in their first few seasons, and both shows were made by the same producers as our show. Seeker simply needs to be given a fair chance, and the network will be pleasantly surprised!

Hi deacon, more than willing to wait but in the waiting time I'm working on my letter. I know you'll let us know when it's official. Maybe it'll mean something to him to be able to pick up Our Seeker, since he started it at abc. I'm ready....
Our Seeker had the worst time slot known to man. And as we all know less advertising, the only advertising I saw was for the premiere and that was over 2 years ago. No commercials, no billboards, no magazine coverages, yet the series became more popular from season 1 to 2. People found it by flipping through the channels and/or word of mouth.
I go on facebook and no one has a discussion thread like LotS had. LotS fans just open up with our excitement for the show, our love for the cast and our joy and fun of each episode. And I know a lot of fans have given up but they'll be back, for a 3rd season. We just got into it and it was fun reading all the comments, I miss it.

I will never be able to understand the lack of advertising. I don't think that I have ever seen a show that was so poorly advertised. I did just "stumble" upon it. Fortunately that was early on in Season 1, with the "Elixir" episode. But, other than an add at the end of each episode (which means that you already had to be watching it!), I never saw it advertised anywhere else, not in any magazines, nothing. Do you ever read Entertainment Weekly or People magazines? If so, look at the advertisement inside the front cover. The current issue of Entertainment Weekly has Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon on the front cover. Even if you don't get this magazine, look at a copy in a store. When you open the front cover, it opens up into a four page advertisement for Camelot, the new series beginning on Starz. If Starz had Seeker, everyone that reads those magazines would know about it! It will be interesting to see what kind of ratings Camelot gets. If they are not that stellar, then it is past due time that Starz picks up our show!
