**WANTED: "The Sword of Truth" DragonCon Posters**
For the coolest party at DragonCon 2010, we are looking for artistic fans that can design posters for the LotS party on Sunday, September 5th.
The posters will decorate the room where the LotS party will take place and guests will be able to take the posters home should they wish to do so.
There's room to hang as many posters as we want, so we have 3 different printing options:
1. print and bring the poster yourself 2. pay for printing and send it to those of us who will be at DC (will provide mailing address) 3. submit it for consideration so we can pay for printing, knowing that there's a chance that it might not be picked.
We'll choose the top 10.
THEME: scenes/sections of "The Sword of Truth" books we have yet to see in the TV show.
SPECS:
* color or black & white * no text except your signature * 16" W x 20" H at 200-300 DPI portrait * JPG or PNG file * Please refer to detailed specs at www.cafepress.com/content/si/temp_16x20_print.zip if you want us to print your poster (will be printed on glossy, 12 point paper) * Paintings, drawings, manipulations and all forms of digital art will be considered (there is no concern as far as copyright goes since the posters will have a limited distribution
DEADLINE: AUGUST 20
UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:
Please upload your poster at: s914.photobucket.com/albums/ac350/SaveOurSeeker/DRAGONCON%20POSTERS/ Username: Saveourseeker Password: seeker
---> Please add your name in the comment field, and make sure to send us an email, contact@saveourseeker.com to let us know you've uploaded your poster so we have a way to contact you if needed. Thank you.

NEW SaveOurSeeker Fundraiser with "Thank You" Gifts -Posted by Laura of SOS on July 31st:
"As promised in this forum post ( forums.legendoftheseeker.org/showthread.php/3332-SOS.com-Game-Plan-amp-Fundraisers?p=80285&viewfull=1#post80285 ) and thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to roll out a poster ad campaign at Comic-Con International in San Diego together with iTunes episode giveaways.
Both promos will be repeated at DragonCon, in Atlanta, September 3-6. Please also refer to this post ( forums.legendoftheseeker.org/showthread.php/3332-SOS.com-Game-Plan-amp-Fundraisers?p=86748&viewfull=1#post86748 ) to read about the SOS campaign strategy and how fans' money has been spent/allocated to date.
Now more than ever, we need to make sure TV network execs and producers are aware of all the fans' initiatives to promote "Legend of the Seeker".
And that's the goal of the new Journey Book Campaign ( www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=269657990457&topic=14078 ) which - funds permitting, we'd like to augment with a NEW advertisement in 'The Hollywood Reporter' at the end of August.
In order to buy the ad on THR, which will cost $3,600, we're starting a new fundraiser.
Please take a look at the "Thank You" gifts with Marlusrahl's design that we'd like to offer to the generous fans that are able to contribute funds to www.SaveOurSeeker.com/
You'll be able to choose any of these items:
One item will be sent for a $50 donation. We'll be happy to send 2 items of your choice for a $75 donation, and 3 items for a $100 donation. We can ship worldwide. All these thank you gifts are available exclusively to sos.com supporters.
Please make sure to let us know your Thank You Gift(s) of choice by completing this field "Add special instructions to the seller" when you fill out the PayPal form at www.saveourseeker.com/
---> When requesting clothing, please specify infant/toddler/kids/men's/women's, plus color and size.
Marlus, thank you again for donating your cheerful "Team Awesome" design to sos.com.
And thank you to all of you - fans - for your unwavering support."

I've been sitting here thinking and thought I'd share this with the team. So, if this goes on much longer, can we really expect them to start a 3rd season so late? I don't know how much time plays in when to start a new season, so I really know nothing about it. But it just seems to me they can't wait much longer. And how much longer can all the workers wait? It just seems to me they have a lot of people waiting, and face it, most of them are looking for other projects to do or have found some thing new, already. I'm still with, "No news is good news."

I'm not sure. I mean, who's to say it couldn't be a year before they did another season? I don't know the circumstances but I do know that the BBC show Robin Hood had two seasons back to back, and then it was, I think, two years, before they had a season 3. (though it was never listed as canceled but still, I think it's always possible that having a season doesn't have to mean it has to happen the fall after the end of the previous season). Also, wasn't there a lag in making another season of Battlestar Galactica? (I never saw the show but I seem to remember hearing something about there being a rather long hiatus).
And I LOVE those thank you gifts! So adorable!

Chuck was canceled and came back after a year... I think time is not a problem, at least for Disney. For us is kinda a killer, but we'll have to handle it.

I'll just ditto what others are saying...it could definitely be more than a year before we get S3. Several shows (as mentioned) came back after long breaks. And I think Firefly had a movie awhile later (with the same cast if I remember reading correctly?)

Yes, hello MK!! Posted by Sot_Fan: I just want to share some good news.
A freelance writer is writing an article about the SOS campaign and had a chance to speak with a lot of major networks. She says it's safe to say that we are definitely getting noticed and that network execs all mentioned that they take more notice of fans when they are proactive about getting the show out there. As soon as she publishes her articles, we'll post everywhere
Keep up the good work Seeker babies!

Our Seeker always goes to the top. I don't mind waiting a year if it takes that long. What else am I doing, really? I just hope in that time that Craig gets to do some other projects, I'd like very much to see him in something else.
I've heard he's here in LA, so maybe he'll get his face out there. Blessed Be...

Keep on fighting
Saw this on SyFy.co.uk posted by honda rocks 412. Apologies if it's already been posted here. "We can still help in saving this show. They're looking to see if ratings increase with all the reruns. we'll have to give it to them. Tell everyone you possibly can to watch the show and when they are not watching TV to turn the channel to whatever channel has the show. if you tell everyone you can to tell everyone they can and they tell everyone they can and so on to turn to that channel whenever theyre not watching TV, the show's ratings will skyrocket if they do it. If we all participate in this, we have a chance at saving the show. so go tell everyone you can!!!! We still have a chance!
Repost this every other save the seeker website you can and spread the word!"
Can't hurt to repeat it though. Long Live The Seeker!!
I don't know who honda rocks is or how he/she knows - just because it's posted on SyFy's site does not make it so... BUT, we do what we can.
Seems to be for ratings in the UK but of course, US ratings can't hurt so be sure you're watching (and hulu-ing). Summer has seemed to slow people down a bit.
