***Persimmon Update from HerBlueEyes*** Thanks to Melissa (Queen of Efficiency) over at Nuts Online, we now have the perfect way for you to send persimmons to Tribune! They’ve got a special page set up for us that makes ordering easy as possible. If you head on over to their Save Legend of the Seeker page here: www.nutsonline.com/gifts/legend and use it to order persimmons they’ll automatically fill in Tribune’s address for you and send the persimmons straight there. Even better, on the packing slip they’re going to print: “Hey, Tribune, did Shota spell you with a persimmon and cause you to forget to renew ‘Legend of the Seeker’?” Nuts Online is the same company that helped successfully stage the Jericho nut campaign a few years ago so they know what they’re doing!

so i got a response from Fox on the email i sent out (which is my local provider Whitney, Thank you for your email and support for LEGEND OF THE SEEKER. I understand your passion for the show, however not enough viewers shared the same feelings. LEGEND OF THE SEEKER has not garnered enough viewer support to warrant us continuing with the program. The distributor ABC Domestic has not made a decision about the future of the show. Perhaps they can find another television outlet. ok, well you suck FOX. isn't this pretty much the same response tribune had? holy cow guys! last time i was looking at this board there was only 16 pages! Heya Whitney, Which particular FOX station was that?? (Since Greg at FOX40 had a totally different response)
What alternate stations in your area are there?? Definitely time to contact them
karen--Awesome news from Watch With Kristin, ThanXXX for sharing
And ET is correct, no rest for us, still gotta keep the pedal to the metal ;D
@dody, maybe try my Canadian link to the article: ca.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b170777_hell_yes_legend_of_seeker_aint_dead.html
(I think there's also a section on the top, left hand side where you can change it per Country, the section to look for is 'Watch With Kristin' )
@et, I get LotS on WGN-Chicago too, (along with KTLA & WPIX), but before the big meld of WB & CW, there was also a UPN station which still eXists that used to air CW/WB programming too...I just remembered that! Gotta look it up and give them a shout

Can each station decide on their own I wonder?? Tribune or not. Didn't see anyone answer this so I thought I would for you Extremis and the answer is actually yes. The Tribune Tv Group is essentially made up of a lot of stations as you know. Aside from the WGN-A Superstaion which Gary Weitman was primarily speaking for most of all of the Tribune owned stations that are affiliates of the CW, Fox, ect have their own licensing agreement with ABC/Disney for Seeker. This is primarily why you are seeing a difference in the responses between the "Weitman emails" in which it is stated that decision to not renew has already been and why the "affiliates emails" that people have been getting back have been stating that they are waiting for ABC/Disney to make a decision at the end of the month. As of right now I would skip any efforts with WGN-A and solely focus on the Tribune affiliates. Their actions in waiting for ABC/Disneys decsion speaks volumes in that they are still very much in the game for season 3. Also keep focusing your efforts on the other networks as well. With that said good luck to all with your efforts.
ThanXXX SO much Jace I really appreciate you taking the time to reply with this info, it give us all hope for sure
What do you think about still writing to the President and Chairman of Tribune?? (never hurts to let those in charge know what's going on )
(Karma! )
And welcome! Happy that you've joined us here

BIG Love to Mike Sussman with his tweet (totally made my year! )
And perhaps you guys can help me out with something...I thought that Tribune distributed the show??
A while back, I emailed KTLA to thank them for airing Seeker (one of the channels I receive it on ), and they replied back at that time telling me that they had nothing to do with Season 3 renewal stuff (even though they are a Tribune owned station), and that I should write to ABC/Disney (which I had already done).
So, I got to thinking, with all of this recent Tribune stuff, I should email KTLA again, and ask about the Tribune distribution. So I did, and got this reply today from KTLA:
"No that is not correct. (re: Tribune distribution) Disney-ABC produces and distributes their show. Some of the Tribune-owned stations as well as other non-Tribune owned stations (across the country) only have a license agreement to broadcast the show for the 08/09 and 09/10 seasons. Disney hasn’t made a decision about season 3 yet so they haven’t even asked the stations to renew for the 10/11 season. We have been told they will make a decision at the end of this month. "
Sincerely, KTLA 5 Programming
Can each station decide on their own I wonder?? Tribune or not. (Kinda like each KFC decides if they're a participating location or not ) That could definitely work in Seeker's favour ;D

TNT carries Charmed & Supernatural in syndication - I think that Legend would make a great addition to their morning syndication choices: twitter.com/TNTPR I just found this TNT twitter account too

The person running it, Seth Miller, seems to reply to everyone, which is good

I got a reply from that Gray guy i sent him an email yesterday and he just reply saying There really isn’t anything to do. You can lobby another station group to pick up the show, but Tribune will not be doing so. I’m sorry. This stinks I'm hoping that going over his head and sending letters/postcards/fruit to the President & Chairman of Tribune will help,it sure can't hurt to try. ;D Sam Zell, Chairman Tribune Company 435 North Michigan Avenue Chicago, IL 60611 USA
