Welcome, Sam! That sounds a lot like me. Slight difference in age, but just about right. No worries, dragontoken. I figured that about 95% of people who saw it would think nothing of it beyond a weird nickname starting with "Mel" at first glance. I can't blame you. I'd probably do the same thing. And thanks! Welcome, swqueen! I'm glad you've introduced yourself. I think you'll get a kick out of this forum. Granted, I'm biased for having been here for the past four months... Yay! Another Chuck fan! I have a thread going here for the show. Feel free to browse/post in it in the Entertainment Alley! Which book is TofW? I should know that...but it's slipped my mind. I'm on Blood of the Fold, currently. It's a bit of a trudge compared to the first two. Oooo! You're going to Comic Con! Lucky! And yes, LotS will be represented there. Edit: Are you a fan of Wicked? Your quote and location make me think so... ;D

;D idk if I can recite the books, but I can recite lines from the movies - especially HP. I'm a horrible person to watch those with. My username is based off of HP. I don't think most people know that at first glance. I've never been a huge LotR fan. It's pretty epic, don't get me wrong, and I own all the movies - and the books, at one point...not really sure what happened to them... - but it didn't draw me in like other things did.

Embellishing simplistic words. (Talk about a juxtaposition.) Ah. I see. Punny. And pretty clever, too. You're a HP and Narnia fan as well, I see from your Location. *high-fives*

Welcome to CSS, riverrun256! You have a unique username. Just thought I'd say. And your message beneath your icon makes me giggle. We seem to have similar interests! My all-time fave shows at the moment are LotS and Chuck, but Bones and Prison Break are not far behind. ;D I also watch House occasionally, too. I hope you enjoy the forum! I've seen that you've already made a few posts and gotten your first Karma, so you seem to be well on your way already. I unfortunately tend to use a fairly large vocabulary... That, or I'll write a lot.

Ok well I'm a little slow getting my profile filled in and my account activated, but I've been lurking around for a while enjoying all the threads very much! I'm Michelle, from California, and am a fan of both the books and the show. Very glad to finally be introducing myself. With two little ones here at home (ages 22mos and 5 years), I don't get a lot of time on the computer to take care of little things like forum postings or profiles, but when I do get time, I love reading what you all are talking about from day to day! I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy geek, and have been since 1977 when I saw Star Wars for the first time in the theatre (and then 7 more times - my parents were so patient with me lol). I am a total sap for unrequited love stories, which is what sucked me in to Wizard's First Rule, and then into Seeker. And of course, there's Kahlan. I have to admit I have a lil girl crush going on there. I think Bridget is just amazing! I also run the Seeker's Omnibus fan site for fun. Cheers to all! Welcome, Michelle! No worries about taking your time. The fact that you've been browsing the forum and taking the time to do so is enough. Now you're a legit Conseekadore! Yay for being a sci-fi/fantasy geek! Aren't we all, just a little bit? LotS/SoTS is an epic tragic love story that both fills our hearts and hurts them. We're all a little masochistic for loving Richard and Kahlan so much. And yes, I think many women who like LotS can be a little Gay for Kahlan. I haven't checked out your website yet, but I certainly intend to!

Welcome, Julia! ;D There's no such thing as being late to CSS. Any time is a good time. The books are awesome - though I feel I should warn you that the show and the books are a world apart. The show is almost an entirely separate entity. As a whole, we at CSS have learned to appreciate the differences and view LotS as more of an extension of the novels. Anywho, I'm rambling a bit... R/K are amazing, and Kahlan definitely rocks!

Thanks. If only time were as available to us as the amount of LotS pics that spam this forum on a daily basis, I'd have numerous vids made by now... It's great to have so many members here! I can't wait til we reach 1000! ;D

You're very welcome, Rose! ;D It's alright, dragontoken. Insomnia is a frequent visiter to me as well, unfortunately. I kind of assumed it was me, since my YouTube channel is set up for LotS promotional purposes... (And I'm trying to make more vids! I really am!)

I'm glad for the introduction, ForeverRose. Don't be discouraged about reading WFR. It is a pretty big book, after all. So long as you finish it at some point so you can realize and understand the amazingness that it is, it's all good. Welcome, Melanie! When I first got into the show, it was a marathon for me, too. I couldn't stop watching it! Still can't... And yes, HAWT Richard certainly doesn't hurt anything. ;D I hope you two have a great time here at CSS!

Hello all! I thought I would throw my Seeker-loving hat into the ring. I read many of the Sword of Truth books several years ago, although honestly I lost interest after a while. However, I recently stumbled on the show and thought "what the heck, I'll give it a whirl..." Three days later I had watched all 17 episodes and was wailing that there were no more out yet. I found this site through the hilarious "Sword of Lies" community on LJ, and wanted to dive right in. I'm not normally much for getting involved with fandoms (more of a lurk and occasionally comment type), but you guys are so friendly and sweet, I can't resist. I'm hoping to post some fan videos very soon! If anyone has an LJ account, my fandom journal is also under Saribelle. Thanks for being such an awesome and welcoming community. I'm looking forward to enjoying the Seeker love with you guys! First off - welcome to CSS! I can understand what you went through. I came in halfway through the season and powered through the eps in two days. And I'm still wailing... I want new eps... Ha! The Sword of Lies comm... I've only been there a couple times, but LOL! I think I've seen your username around LJ before. As a fellow fanvidder, I can't wait to see what you provide for us! Be sure to make your own thread to show off your vids in the Richard and Kahlan Fan Video Theater area. The CSS community is very hospitable and respectful, so I certainly don't blame you for diving right in.

First off, I just want to say how much I freakin' LOVE this forum! Everyone here shows great respect and class that you really can't find at most other forums, and I have immense appreciation for that. I have befriended a number of you, and it has made me feel happy and welcome every time I come here. You have all made my time at CSS an enjoyable, thrilling and memorable experience. I want to express my gratitude for my fellow staff members as well. You guys have been a great part of the fun! None of the events, threads, discussions and hysteria would exist without you. I've never been able to have intellectual discussions like I have here - and better yet, the criticism is either constructive or non-existant. You've all shown dedication and energy that I've come to admire and respect. And, last but not least, many thanks and eternal Karma to you, Erika! None of this would be possible without you! We all know how much effort you've put into running this forum - as well as how exhausting it can be. You've created an amazing and well-organized place for all LotS/SoT fans to come together and splurge our love for Richard and Kahlan in any way, shape or form. You've found a way to keep us all on our feet during the various no-eppie's period, which is something I think we all need. Thank you, one and all! ;D Edit: And you're welcome, Erika! You deserve it!

Oh, don't remind me about that darn hiatus. Even if Denna is re-airing, I still want to know what's happening next! Though, I did tell my mom I wanted to be Denna for Halloween. Her reaction? We're all suffering together, Julia - no worries. *high fives you* Love it! Being Denna for Halloween is a great idea! And your mom's reaction? Priceless. ;D Welcome to CSS! You'll fit right in with the rest of us.

Quick question: When it asks to run or save it, which one do I click?

On account of the fact that I haven't visited the Newbie Meet and Greet thread in quite a while, here's a huge whopping warm welcome to all! None of you will be disappointed by what CSS has to offer. Everything LotS related - and even a variety of things that have absolutely nothing to do with it - can be found all over the place. It's a very organized forum. And everyone here is wonderful! I have yet to find someone who isn't respectful to other members. ;D And yes - IBIN really is my sis. I've sucked in another fan!
