@proyectcloud Wow, I'm blown away how my Twitter account @projectcould has inspired a thread to be created.
I need to clarify some things here and tell you all where I stand. First of all ABC Studios/Disney no longer cares about Legend of the Seeker. I'm glad that fans are still contacting them but they are NOT GOING TO PRODUCE SEASON 3! But it doesn't matter! There are other networks that can most certainly purchase the rights from them and realize the success it deserves!
I talked to a DirecTV representative in person about two weeks ago and I got him very excited about checking the Seeker out for himself. I told him about his company's official Twitter account and how it mentioned the show on it one day. He was very insistent that whoever is in charge of this won't just put that up for only wishful thinking. I will safely say that this is something that has been talked about and maybe even still is at the company by people who can greenlight shows.
Even before I talked to this guy I called up DirecTV.The person I spoke with wasn't able to help me so they told me that they were going to have it looked into by a specialist. Sure enough I got a call back from them the next day and I told this lady you know what. She said that that a lot of people were talking about it. Action has to be going on.
So that is all very cool. So definitely keep the floodgates of phone calls, e-mails, and letters going in to them everyone.
But if you all want to know where the real deal is, get in contact with Starz. Here is full contact info:
Eric Becker Starz, (720) 852-4065 (direct) (303) 638-3469 (cell) eric.becker@starz.com
But this is the best number to call: 866-888-4010
Starz LLC 8900 Liberty Circle Englewood, CO 80112
I talked with Eric on the phone and just when I mentioned that Legend of the Seeker would be a more than perfect fit for his network's strategy he was very quick and excited to point out that people in the office around him were just talking about the very same thing! In his words "Your voice has been heard." Starz is by far the best option of any currently existing TV station/channel/network/broadcast/whatever you call it!
Go for both of them, but especially Starz. I have a feeling in my gut that this will somehow happen. And make sure NOBODY SPAMS Eric, that would BE HORRIBLE BEYOND BELIEF FOR OUR CAUSE. Each person should only call him once. If he doesn't pick up leave a message on both phones if you have to!
God bless,

I just want to take a minute to address the ABC/Disney no longer cares statement. This is just this person's opinion and NOT fact. There are many, many ways a deal between ABC/Disney and another network/co-producer could go. The deal that was in the works between ABC/Disney and SyFy called for a sharing of the costs and thus the profits. ABC/Disney will also probably want to retain rights to sell the DVDs through Buena Vista.
So we still need to keep contacting ABC/Disney in our polite but persistent way. Asking them to be open to any and all possibilities for ways to keep LotS going. They still own the rights and we NEED them to act in some form or fashion in order for our campaign to be successful.

...I really really wish I could call these guys too but that's not really a possibility, so I'll just stick to my e-mails
And you're right Auroracat, Disney is still our target we only need to change the approach. Instead of asking them to keep producing, let's ask them to sell it to someone who can!

I personally favor a less specific approach. I ask them to please remain open to any and all possibilites to continue the show. There are many, many ways a deal could be constructed and I don't even pretend to know or understand entertainment industry contracts/agreements. So I will leave that up to the legal experts in the industry. I just let ABC/Disney know that LotS can be profitable for them in whatever capacity!
And I always thank them for the 2 seasons we have gotten so far!

Moderator Edit: This is speculation on other people's conversation. If they decide to post here that's one thing, but I'm not comfortable having a third party post it.

Seekers¡¡¡¡ We need your fan-art¡¡¡ bit.ly/ceA8GxTalented Seekers, you created so many beautiful posters, it hurts not to use them all for the SOS campaign, so here is an opportunity.
There is still space available at the Comic Con Art Show and it would be great to see your designs there. I received an email from the Art Show Director saying they are still taking applications. If you'd like to display your Seeker poster, or any other art, please send in your application, fee and sample of your art ASAP before July 15th.
Please spread the word! Thank you.
