From the Torchonline: LEGEND OF THE SEEKER Fans Continue to Seek a Third Season for Their Show Posted on 12 August 2010 by Brent Hartinger, Editor TheTorchOnline.com confirmed the cancellation of the syndicated fantasy show Legend of the Seeker back in May, but that hasn’t stopped an intrepid group of fans who have organized at SaveOurSeeker.com to continue to advocate for another season for the series. Since ABC/Disney, which produced the show, will not be producing a third season, these fans have concentrated on finding another producing entity to take it over. They’ve raised almost $25,000 to date, which they’ve used to place ads in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, and on a bus shelter in Burbank. They’re also doing email and Twitter campaigns, fan videos, and online petition, and plan to have a presence at the upcoming Dragon-Con convention in Atlanta. “I think it’s incredible what they’re doing,” says Mary D. Brooks, the webmaster of a number of Seeker-themed websites. Such fan campaigns have been successful before with other syndicated shows: once Xena: Warrior Princess seemed doomed to cancellation, but fans rallied and ended up bringing it back for another season. But to date, there has been no public movement toward the possibility of a third season for Seeker. source

Is everyone still writing letters? I know we can get tired, but we need to keep at it if we want to get more Seeker. Thought I'd bring over this post made on another forum... This is sooo true, if we think only in what we're doing individually it doesn't seems much but when we look at the whole picture things change Is like the old african saying : The flock's union, makes the lion sleep hungry So let's make Disney hungry guys hahaha Is really great to know that there're a lot of people fighting for this show and this thought alone, encourages me to keep writing even when I don't feel like it...

Yep, it is quiet and that's really okay. Just relax and come back when ya can but do not stop writing. I do a letter or two each week. I'm lazy, so I just copy the letter from the week before and change the date (man, it was a great letter, so why fix it?) I don't care how ya get the letter out, just do it. Make it easy.
And like Zoodyac said, "...individually it doesn't seem much but when we look at the whole picture things change." If it's worth having, it has to be worth fighting far. If it was easy, would it mean as much? Hang in there. Blessed Be.....
When I look at the date that I joined, man, things have really changed in such a short time. Blessed Be..

Craig & Bridget - Breakout Stars of 2009 - Portrait Magazine (Aug. 2010 issue): www.portraitmagazine.net/archives/breakout09.html ;D Bridget Regan and Craig Horner This pair of actors play a couple of twenty-somethings with extraordinary skills fighting for the side of justice in a fantasy television series based on the popular Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind. While science fiction and fantasy stars don’t usually get a lot of recognition in the mainstream media, the two stars of Legend of the Seeker seem to have fixed that. The show, filmed in New Zealand, and aired in 130 countries around the world, has become something of an unlikely hit in syndication. Although the series debuted in November of 2008, the press and the audience increased as the first season came to a close earlier this year. Both of its stars have a lot of acting experience (Bridget mostly on the stage and Craig largely in Austalian teen television shows), but it was their turn on the fantasy adventure series that has launched them into the spotlight. Critics who don’t have any love for the show have even praised the performances of the two stars, demonstrating that they just have that “it” factor that makes you want to watch.

Hi...Just want to let everyone know who keeps our site updated and the weekly writing lists out there... THANK YOU ... I write...everyone you recommend. I also believe strongly there are advertisers that are supporting LOTS who appreciate encouragement and I think they rattle some cages sometimes.... I also try to VOTE to keep the series number one as much as possible in as many polls as I know about. We could sure use some help this month at the followign address! tweeter.faxo.com/TV_Show_of_the_Month/2010/08Like you I believe we need to keep the pressure on. Hopefully what everyone has done will bring results we want....continued new seasons of Legend of the Seeker. I look at the Fall schedules and what is on the summer... I cannot believe LOTS could possibly be dismissed in favor of so much that is being offered .... I keep checking the boards, please keep me posted.

This is so awesome!!! I just love Bridget and Craig and miss them SO MUCH!!!! That's why we need to keep fighting!! Sent out my postcards this week. Going to start back again with more letters next week. Keep it up everyone!! The more noise we create the more notice we get!! It's so depressing to see all these "season premieres" and such and not have Seeker be a part of that. So, let's work very hard on remedying that!!!

Rachel H posts: "Jay Laga'aia (who plays Chase on Legend of the Seeker and was also in Star Wars Prequels) has been hosting the Star Wars Convention this week. Got to MEET him TODAY- he was passing by and I held up the "Save Our Seeker" Sign, which immediately got his attention. He came right up and I asked him to pose with the Seeker ...sign!!! He was SO nice and he seemed really happy to see there were Seeker fans there. Sorry the picture is blurry- my hands were shaking with excitement!!!" xD
OMG!!! I LOVE IT!!! I wonder if he chatted with Rachel at all... How adorably sweet of him!!!

I LOVE THIS! I love seeing Seeker cast/crew holding up the sign. How awesome would it be if we could eventually make a video with just people involved in the show holding up the sign? Also Jay seems like such a nice guy, you're so lucky you got to meet him!

derascal> I want to thank u for all your work cause, I sure couldn't do it, I really couldn't and I know it. I want to thank everyone that works on this site. You do a wonderful job and I know you don't get praised enough.
I'm letting ya know ahead of time that I'm gonna BITCH now, so if ya don't wanta read ya don't have to. I can't believe we don't get LotS and we do get; lawyers, cops and doctors, O, more cops and doctors and let's don't forget the never ending reality show (O please),and let's not forget The Bachelor, Amen. I guess they are really dumbing us down. Crap, just crap. And, yes, I do feel better...
jlyn> thank u for the article about Bridget & Craig, and I hope they have been "launched into the spotlight". Extremis> thank u for the pic of Jay L. I just loveee this site, cause all of ya give us soooo much. Thanks ya...
I just know one of these days something will happen, we'll get a 3rd season and/or a miniseries. Something will happen and don't quit 5 mins. before it does, cause then you'll be kicking your very own butt. Blessed Be....
