**Operation: Send it Back!**
>From Mystery
"Operation Send it Back!
Remember all of that anger at the "and final" on the front of season 2?
Well, it is now time to channel that anger into a mailing campaign/publicity stunt...we are fondly calling it Operation SEND IT BACK!
Here's the basic idea:
1.) If you have not bought season 2, have an autographed copy or don't want to part with yours...then buy another one
2.) Take your outer box cover and "alter" it.
In other words, tape, scratch out, etc the "and final" on the front.
Show your frustrations, but DO NOT be a jerk.
No nasty language, anything obscene or offensive. That will not have the desired effect and will make the rest of us look bad.
Don't do it.
Below are some examples (thanks to Aci!) - these can also be used instead of an actual box if you have an autographed copy or don't have season 2 yet (I refer you back to number 1...BUY IT).
3.) Include a picture of yourself with a Save our Seeker sign or some other way to designate you as a fan and/or a letter to Disney (Pictures are best). Stuff the box full of postcards ( When You Wish Upon a Star thread), letters, the printed box covers below...whatever. BUT PLEASE...do not send anything else. We want to be consistent.
4.) Send it to Disney/ABC. They should receive these November 10-12th. So plan your mailing accordingly!

Tell EVERYONE.
We will be posting ideas of places to post it, FB pages, tell bloggers, etc.
Here are some ideas:
>From aci01:
Here are some "blank cover" pics if someone wants to add his/her own non-offensive words to it.
But the real cover box would be more preferable.
From lucie:
>From auroracat:
"If for some reason you have only one copy of season 2 and don't want to destroy the box, include a copy of your purchase receipt with your photo shop version of the cover.
Proof of purchase and a way to keep box intact.
But yes, buying another copy is best!!!!!!!"
>From gio:
"Just one question: wouldn't be better if we all send the real box to one person and the photos to the other two?"
>From Deacon:
"Perhaps the way that people decide what to bring to a potluck dinner?
For example:
If your last name begins with the letter A - G, send to Ms. Sweeney;
H - O, send to Mr. Lee,
and P - Z, send to Ms. Marinelli.
What do we think?
Also, Ms. Sweeney has a birthday coming up soon: November 4, 1958.
I think that we should send her "Seeker" birthday cards.
I don't expect her to change her mind just because we send cards, but I think it would be a decent gesture just the same.
Of course the theme of these cards would be the renewal of our series. What do you think?
Her bio is on the web, and on Disney/ABC's page for that matter.
If I remember, I think she sits on the board of a certain charity.
Or, we could find out one of her favorite charities.
Just some random thoughts.... "
>From Mystery:
"I say pick a person to send the real box and send photos to the others. I think there are enough of us to cover them all, but hey, we can "potluck" it too."
>From JaneDoh:
"I really think the aim of this project is basically to say to ABC/Disney: PLEASE SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.
We are sending the boxes back to show our dissatisfaction, and *politely* ask them to hand the show over to someone else.
That is why the 'When you wish upon a star' postcards are the perfect accompaniment to this campaign.
And PLEASE take a photo of yourself holding the season 2 box.
You can send it to ABC/Disney if you like, but there are future projects that may come up where we will be asking people to supply photos for a collage.
(such as the new LOTSVideo Project about capturing your letters/mail)
Just take the photo....once you send the box, you won't have the opportunity again, and if you chicken out at the last minute, you don't have to use it, but at least you will have it ready if you are willing to participate.
We need NEW networks to realise the wide demographic of this show.
If this project goes to plan, hopefully we can make it big enough for press coverage which will be an enormous boost in our effort to find a new network.
*getting off soapbox now*
